Excerpt from the MOR information page-
“The Gold and Silver REQ packs available in Halo 5: Guardians are also getting upgraded as part of the Memories of Reach release. As the amount of REQs in the pool increases with new Armor, Weapon Skins, Stances, and more, we wanted to give players more bang for their buck. In the case of Power Weapons REQs, we mean this quite literally.
The first two slots in the packs will still guarantee permanent items, but will no longer grant emblems. This means that your chance of getting other permanent REQs such as Power Weapon Certifications, Weapon Skins, Armors, Helmets, and others has substantially improved as long you haven’t already unlocked them. While the third slot in these REQ packs previously only granted one-time-use REQs, it now offers a large chance at dropping Emblems as well. Finally, in general, players should see that these REQ packs will award rarer single use REQs more often.”
Personally I really like this change, what does everyone else think?
Edit: Side note, but there is also going to be a REQ pack containing 3 permanents from MOR and a few other things. Price is unknown right now

its a good change, there are way too many emblems compared to everything else, kinda sucks for those of us who have spent so much time grinding to just have this now, but its a good addition
Did this take effect yet? I just opened a silver and got two emblems. I still have plenty of other stuff to unlock, so it’s not a avaliable type thing.
Personally good for the game but annoying considering the grind has long been over.

I assume it isn’t applied until the new REQs go live

Reqs are not updated yet. So stop buying them till this evening. Also you can still get a emblem just it will be a third unlock if it happens to come
Nice, decreases my silver grind nicely. I still need 21 emblems according to my calculations. Worth 5 gold packs which is sweet.
Actually the third card after the first two will give emblems if you can get them.
This is what we needed. Now I can grind through silvers faster.
I’m glad that is happening. I don’t mind emblems being in the third slot so long as you get two actually significant unlocks. Next time around though, I hope emblems just aren’t in the REQ system.
