hello guys! as many of you know, alot of REQ packs are being published with many bundles and items for Halo 5 Guardians, such as action figures, controller, console bundle, limited edition., etc… although, a fiew things remains unclear, for example, when buying the console bundle, you get a special pack. BUT, buying either Locke or Cheif xbox controller gives you a req pack bonus, do you think theses packs will differ? like different type of packs. would be stupid if you had to buy the limited xbox edition already with the locke controller and buy a second controller of the same thing just to get the different value pack…
what are your thoughts on this?
also are they promo, or regular ones? kinda confused right now…
From what I understand, the REQ packs that come with stuff are “Premium” (Warzone) packs so they have the most guaranteed permanents and highest chance for rares etc. To be more specific not sure if the “premium” varies within different items: controllers, console, etc.

From what I have gathered, the packs that come with the figures are silver tier; they have two permanent unlocks and some random ones. The controller packs are probably also silver tier, but they might be gold, since the conrollter price is ‘mysteriously’ higher than standard, but at least one of the items is guaranteed to be the respective visors.
Premium’s contents are a little hazy, but supposedly they have the most in them, with one themed permanent content item per pack per week, and one random permanent item per pack per week. So you get two permanent, predetermined items and two permanent, random items.
Example: The Premium packs for the first week with the Console comes with Fotus Armor and Emblem every time, but also get two random permanent items.
Promo packs are just the in-game delivery of predetermined goods, although they may have some random bonuses too. But with any promos, like the Halo channel one, it’s basically just the emblem being directly sent to you in game rather than dlc external to the game.

No, only you want to have it guaranteed day one. The only item that is exclusive to a purchase is the Fotus EMBLEM. All Armor and visors are unlockable in game.

The Warzone REQ Bundle contains 14 premium REQ Packs and the ones you get with the figures are Promos
