I am not posting this to bash 343, I believe they have created a fantastic game. But I have a complaint with the Req system. Now before I elaborate, I understand nobody is forcing anybody to purchase these packs with real money. This is fair. I have unlocked many items just based off the points earned through games. But, since it’s during HCS weekend, I wanted to try out the new, limited pack. The requirements were 80,000 points or pay $10.00. Fair enough. I decided to take the high road and achieve the 80,000, which I did. Now maybe that isn’t a high amount, but to me it was since I started out low. So I open the pack and for my 80,000 I received only a visor, a stance, and two weapon skins, with my Req points depleted entirely. I acquired the hint that maybe to get the bigger deal of it, pay the $10.00. So I did, and why not? I worked hard for this, I was committed. I pay the $10.00, only to receive the same thing like last time except it was a helmet, no stance, no visor, and two more weapon skins. Essentially, I spent $10.00 and 80,000 points for one stance, a helmet, one visor, and four weapon skins. To me, 80,000 points should have granted everything. And that’s not even mentioning the $10.00. Thousands of people paid $10.00, and not just once. Why do I feel like I was cheated? $50.00 or 240,000 and then you can get weapon skins? So I need to buy another Halo 5 to make my Spartan game time for the red carpet but we can’t get ready and available and permanent playlists? Look, 343 made a great game…but this is all screwed up to me. I am not being unreasonably critical, I would just like an open discussion about the system and what we should truly get for our dedication to the game.
I spent $10.00 on that thing and I got 1 helmet, 1 armor, and 4 weapon skins, one of which is legendary. I thought mine was bad, but yours? I feel real sorry for you, man.
If you are not 100%, the packs turned out to be glorified, over expensive gold packs.
