So I’m buying a few REQ packs with real money (gasp) and was checking my recent purchases on Xbox.com. I noticed a REQ pack for me did not just cost 2.99, but 3.21.

It all depends on what state you live in if I remember correctly. Some states do not have an online tax some do. I know I pay a wonderful 6.75% on all online purchases.

Yikes. I’m going to have to “change” my billing address. Thought this was a standard thing that we wouldn’t get taxed on.
Yeah I don’t pay any tax on purchases through Microsoft but like amazon and such I do.
All marketplace purchases are subject to your local tax.
Why did you think they change Xbox currency over from “Microsoft points” to real world amounts?
