so i saw in the xbox store that you could get specific req packs like the reach armor pack so if i get it from there will it work?
Yes, any of the packs you see in the store will work. Kind of like how DLC works, just make the purchase and it will appear in game for you to open.

Will it work? Sure it will work but keep in mind that you will get some random reach stuff and not necessarily the stuff you want. You would have to buy a few packs to get all the reach stuff. Also keep all the reach stuff is in the req system so if you keep grinding the packs you will get the stuff eventually.
