Hey I have a massive issue in the fact both me and my fiancé brought halo 5 when it was released and got the £200 edition with all the free req’ packs BUT because he uploaded the game under his name I cannot obtain the promotional req’ packs which has annoyed me as I have spent £200 on a game and all its content and just have the game, what makes things worse is that it has extended to the COMPLETELY free championships req’ pack that was released today, I can’t even open that!!! Help!?!
Things like REQ packs and bundles are tied to account the are redeemed on in Halo 5, so as you have seen when your fiancé redeemed their bundle only they could recieve the packs each week. If you want to get them yourself, you would need to either buy a bundle code form a store or online via Amazon / Xbox.com (Amazon has the Arena Bundle on sale on Amazon US for $12.50 right now). For the HWC REQ pack you can actually get that yourself.
