REQ PACK HELP Bronze, Silver and Gold

sorry bad English XD

Hello everyone, I have a lot of questions, first of all:

  1. How unlock Tactical magnum and Halo 2 BR?

  2. I need to unlock all the common equipment (Bronze REQ) to get more an better stuff?

  3. How long it took?

  4. Its a good idea buy the Gold REQ?

Thanks for your attention, and I still have more questions, its just I can´t remember all right now

The Tactical Magnum and Halo 2 Battle Rifle can only be unlocked from Gold packs. No special way to get them quickly. However, don’t just go buying Gold packs left and right.

It is recommended that you unlock all of the Common, Uncommon, and Rare stuff (which you can get from Silver packs) before buying tons of Gold packs. You don’t need to buy Bronze packs to do that, Silver packs will work just fine. Most recommend going the Bronze > Silver > Gold or Silver > Gold route for unlocking everything.

It’ll take quite a while if you don’t buy any REQ packs with actual currency. You’ll be at around SR 125 or something like that when you have everything unlocked.

I wouldn’t recommend buying Gold packs yet, since I’m assuming you have yet to unlock all Common, Uncommon, and Rare items in the game. What you probably should do is buy Bronze packs to get all of the Common stuff, then move to Silver to get all Uncommon and Rare, and finish with Gold to get Ultra Rare and Legendary. You can also skip the Bronze packs if you don’t care about random Mongoose variations.

You’ll get the tactical magnum and halo 2 br from gold packs but you’ll want to open silvers first to get all of the common, uncommon and rare items unlocked so you don’t get them from your gold packs. How long it takes depends on how much you play, I finished my silver packs at SR80 and gold packs at SR140. I started playing in June though so it may take longer now

Watch a Youtube Video also here is some Tips Unlock all Commons in Bronze Packs and then start Sliver Packs Unlock everything in there then start Gold Packs that have the Tactical Magum and H2 BR and I just Finnished Sliver Packs about 3 days ago and it took me around 4 Months

  1. The Tactical Magnum and H2 BR, along with pretty much every other loadout weapon and simply unlocked via random REQ Packs.

  2. You don’t need progress through packs or rarities in a linear manner, but its more cost effective to refrain from buying Gold packs at least until you’ve unlocked most of the lower rarity items to improve the probability or guarantee a Ultra Rare or Legendary Item.

  3. I think it’ll just vary depending on what and how you play.

Do you HAVE to clear your lower lever reqs to get them? No. But does it help through the process of elimination? Yes, absolutely. I got my Halo 2 BR around SR 115, and my TacMag around SR 100. That’s after clearing out all of my lower level Reqs around SR 75-80. Can you get them before then? Absolutely. Is it guaranteed? Absolutely not. It’ all depends if RNGsus likes you on any given day.

  • Only obtained by opening gold packs - Only Mongooses are obtained via Bronze packs so you can simply leave them alone if you want to finish all your silvers and go for the gold - Took me like 8 months if you have the dedication and effort you can unlock way faster than me.

You’ve got questions, I’ve(hopefully) got answers!

  • Tactical Magnum/Halo 2 Battle Rifle can only be obtained from Gold packs since the magnum is of Ultra-Rare quality, and the H2 BR being a Legendary Mythic. Normally you would think the magnum would be the first of these 2 you would get, but I got my H2 BR WAY before I got the Tactial Magnum. - Yes, always do your Bronze packs first to get some starter REQs/new better armor. Then move up to silvers once your commons are complete. Once silvers are done, get to them gold packs! - Give/Take what game modes you play, it can take a while. Play some social arena to get some points for Bronze backs, and keep sticking with it for the silvers. Once you’ve got your Bronze/Silvers done, do some Warzone Firefight to help up with the gold packs. - Yes it is, but, as I’ve previously mentioned, WAIT until your bronze/silver packs are done; then you can do gold. You’d be better off to open Gold packs via your REQ points then actual money, but that’s me(and most forum users have opened/completed their Gold pack fest by REQ points only).Hope this helped ya out some OP

  1. I believe those are Legendary weapons, so you can only obtain them through Gold Packs. Or certain playlists to use (not unlock).

  2. No, you can get any equipment at any point in the game, regardless of what equipment you currently own, by buying Gold packs and keeping your fingers crossed / hoping for the best. That said, it’s not recommended you do that (see below).

  3. It took me until SR82 I believe to unlock everything in Bronze and Silver. Longer (around 100 or so) to get everything in Gold. It’s a grind! Feels super satisfying when you pull it off though.

  4. Not initially, no (strategy below).

As I mentioned in #2, technically, you can unlock anything (say, the Halo 2 BR) at level 1 if you wanted by buying a Gold pack and getting lucky. If you consider yourself to be a casual player who periodically might do some Halo 5, but doesn’t actually care about unlocking everything in the REQ system, that’s a fine way to go. But if you DO want to unlock everything in the REQ system, you want to start at Bronze, unlock everything there, then go Silver, then go Gold. Here’s why.

In every pack (besides Bronze, more on that later), you get two permanent unlocked items. They can be armor, assassinations, loadout weapons for WZ, etc. It’s luck of the draw. The odds of you getting a Halo 2 BR from a random Gold pack, therefore, are pretty slim, and there is hundreds of items to unlock in the REQ system.

REQs range from Common, to Uncommon, to Rare, to Ultra Rare, to Legendary. Bronze will only give you Common REQs I believe. Silver will give you Common to Rare if I remember right, and Gold, Uncommon to Legendary REQs. So there’s overlap in terms of rarity and which pack you open. In theory, as a result, you could spend 10,000 RP to buy a Gold pack, and get an Uncommon armor as your permanent unlock, as a result. That sucks because you could have gotten the same Uncommon armor for half the cost by buying a Silver pack for 5,000 RP. Double the cost, same item.

So the way I did it (and most members of the community) is grind Silver packs, unlock everything offered there (all Common REQs > Rare REQs), then grind Golds to the promised land. You’ll know you’ve finished Silvers when, instead of getting two new, permanent REQs, you just get 2,000 RP or whatever back after buying one. It’s a pain, a very, very long grind… but a lot of fun to finish it off. I hope I’ve explained it well. One last thing.

There has always been debate about whether or not you should buy Bronze packs. I’d say no. Others would disagree with me. With Silver and Gold packs, you’re GUARANTEED two unlocked items with each one you open. With Bronze, you are NOT, and have a CHANCE at ONE permanent unlock. To me, even at the discounted 1,250 RP or whatever it is cost, that’s not worth it without ensuring I’m going to get an unlock. I’d rather spend 5,000 RP and know I’m getting that return. People have done the math and say the odds are still in your favor with Bronze packs, but eh, I hated doing that because I always got irritated when something didn’t unlock for me.

Again, hope this answers your questions! The REQ system is confusing. But good you came to the community for help!

To unlock the Tactical Magnum and H2BR, you need to open a gold pack for those two. Pray for RNGesus.

Absolute best way to get better stuff is to buy silver packs until you get points back then move to golds.

Please don’t revive old topics thanks. Particularly when you have nothing to add.
