Req Pack Gifting

I’m personally a massive fan of Warzone; for me, it fills the social void. I love the Requisition system, as well. Still, I know a lot of people aren’t fans, and I know a lot of people refuse to use real money on microtransactions. I have friends who are addicted to getting req packs but fall into that category. It would be cool to see a system in place that allows you to gift packs to someone else through their Gamertag or whatever. For those of us who have most reqs unlocked and still have disposable income, it makes fiscal sense to allow something like this.

Soon enough, I’ll have no reason to keep dumping cash into Reqs for myself. But I’d be more than willing to buy and send packs to my friends who are unwilling or unable to drop hundreds on a video game. 343 would still be milking that cash cow, and my friends would be able to enjoy Warzone as much as I do, being able to call out more than sword ghosts and needlers all match. Not necessarily via req points, for fear of causing a black market, but via real-money purchase.

Now I know I’m probably about to catch hell from the people in the “Warzone is P2W” camp, and that’s fine – everyone has their opinions, but this is mine. I agree sending individual Reqs would be a little overboard, but gifting gold packs with their randomness to your friends would be a neat idea and would help keep some (not all, but some) heavily interested in Warzone. 4 maps can get stale to those who have a tiny pool of cards, but with reqs comes variety.

I agree. Matter of fact, I dumped nearly $700 into gold packs to get all the armor I wanted… 2 days before they went on sale for 40% off…

I would like a trade system, where we could trade 1 use cards, but yeah, I like this idea too

I third this idea.

This post is from last year. #necropost.

Ugbha … 700?!?

It’s your money, but wow that’s a lot of money for reqs… are you sure it was 700$?

$700, even if 700$ makes sense, it always annoys me when people put the symbol in the wrong side

This would be great  And I also like the idea of trading one use cards

Holy moly, you must be mad now.
I’d rage if i wasted that much money LOL!

Great idea.

343 could even do this…When I earn a req card, give me the option to send it to someone else.

I only wasted like 40 bucks on packs and that’s because I could and it was a 1 time thing.

The bad part is almost 50 bucks gets you only enough reqs for maybe a week if you play FF a lot. Maybe not even that long. Awful return on them to be honest. Never again.

And yeah gifting reqs to friends is a good idea but they won’t do it. They aren’t making money this way.

But with the US minimum wage, you can work for 7 to 8 hours in a day or a couple days, and have more than enough to buy req packs. So its really, work for a day and play for a week (I still would never pay that much money for virtual weapons though.)

I never spent any money and I have everything I possibly can. Just gotta grind

Lol, thanks I’ll make sure to fix it in the future.

I guess I was just in so much shock I didn’t even notice :joy:

Aye. I could’ve paid off my Galaxy S7 edge with that lolol. But I really reaaaallllyyy wanted Buck’s helmet lol

This is an old topic, but I think it might be good to see what other think of this. Personally I’d be all for it - love the idea of being able to gift items to community members, perfect for doing give aways. I know that on the Xbox 360 they recently got the ability to give money via XBL so hopefully the X1 will also gets that feature at some point

I agree. I fortunately have unlocked everything there is to unlock in the game - and although I know you’re talking about purchasing packs and sending them, there should also be a way to give req points to others. I have over 100k currently, but have enough reqs to last me 100 games. By that time I’ll have another 100k points. We should be able to gift our points or use them to gift packs to others, I completely agree with the idea of yours.

No way! Every time you post I learn something new lol.

I’d rather grind than spend money on “random” items.

This actually brings up a point about Halo 5. Once you unlock everything and start getting gold packs for 4K (10K - 6K points back), you can use a RP boost and basically get a gold pack every game. Then what? Even playing FF you accumulate req points quicker than you can use reqs. I have 300K req points and no reason to even open packs until I get low on something. (Not bragging, everyone will get there soon). The joy of opening packs, buying packs, collecting things is gone. We need a use for req points after you unlock everything. The new HCS skins being cash only was kind of a slap in the face to those of us who bought the game at launch and have plenty of req points. I’d gladly give away packs at this point, or trade some cards for items I’d rather have.
