req pack code from walmart not working

Not sure where to go for this, still new to this site and xbox. i bought a dvd 2 pack from walmart that had forward unto dawn and nightfall. it came with a halo 5 req pack 25 digit code. i try on my xbox one and the website. i get the same error code SVC60016. I called xbox they check the code and said they cant see what wrong with it. just that it says try again later. Also if i wanted more help to call bungie… but I think it 343 that owns the halo 5 codes… so figure i post here and hope for the best. Maybe i have to redeem it closer to halo 5 drop date? or is something wrong with the code?

I’m not sure if there were any service issues when you tried redeeming, if there were then that could have been part of the issue. Have you tried again since you posted? Where are you trying to redeem - console or PC? Could maybe try the opposite of what you’ve done already and see if that helps. There’s a support page on the XBox.com site that has some steps you can try too. I think you may have to take the code back to Walmart and ask them to replace it if you still can’t redeem - maybe that code never got activated

I try it again today, ive try serval different ways online and on the console. i also looked at the support page and was on the phone with them for half hour or more trying different ways. the advisor even tryed the code on his end. I might have to try just taking it back. but it might just be easier to earn the req packs then go through the trouble of taking it back.
