I posted this topic on Reddit but wanted to post this here as well…seems like there could be some simple solutions:
As primarily an Arena player (ranked and social) I’m always having a hard time keeping Arena boosts because it seems I get 1 Arena boost out of 20 in a gold or silver pack. I get the Arena win pack daily but they usually have just the common xp boosts etc. I also sell Warzone boosts and weapons etc to buy more packs, but I seem to only get Warzone boosts.
It would be great if there was a Boost only Req pack for Arena and Warzone or at least make each pack give one Warzone boost and one Arena boost.
I’m grateful for the boost in XP/RP recently, but the gap in payouts and boosts is so heavily swayed towards Warzone. For example I’m sitting on like 60 Warzone RP Jackpot boosts, that consistently give 3-6k RP for one game of Assault. Add that to the RP given for the game, and in 5-10 minutes I could earn 10k RP. Compare that to the 1-100 legendary boost received for Arena that pays out 750-1500 RP?
I love Halo 5 and play it regularly…just some small issues that seemingly could be fixed easily. end rant
EDIT: Another thing I’ve noticed is that Ultra Rare and Legendary boosts are extremely rare for both Arena and Warzone…
There’s a good chance this is just confirmation bias. I mostly play warzone and have noticed the exact opposite. That being said, if you have specific numbers like you do it could be true. Either way there’s no reason 343 can’t add in an arena boost only pack, I mean it’s more opportunity for micro-transactions.

That is strange, you’re the second person that has said this. On the reddit thread an Arena player has 800+ warzone boosts and barely an Arena boosts like I do. I drop 100k RP at a time for Arena boosts and seriously barely get any? I wonder if the drops are weighted to the opposite of what you play most to sway you to play other game types?
I have this problem as well, and actually found that when I was working to unlock everything I received more XP boosts, and now that I have everything unlocked I get more RP boosts. Maybe it is just my imagination, but it just seems like that is the case.
They did have the Greatest Hits pack with 5 Legendary Arena boosts in each pack. Everyone received a free one who logged on the day of Halo 5 anniversary, and then you could buy the for either 80,000 RP or $10. I wish I had had more RP’s to buy them with.

Also very interesting…when I was in the gold grind I didn’t pay attention to what boosts were given, but now that I’ve been done with unlocking everything for awhile I’m more focused on boosts…the XP grind is real haha
A warzone and arena boost pack would solve this…I have no need to get more burn cards for warzone…I have enough for a year!

Agree…it could be bias but it could also be a real trend with a reason behind it.

No for me at least it’s probably just because I want to see more warzone boosts. For you I believe it probably is real and that the packs are weighted. 343 obviously wants to push warzone and giving a chance for 5k rp in one game certainly does that.

I agree, the payouts are crazy in warzone compared to arena…It’s just weird, they push HCS really hard (which I enjoy) but don’t really reward players for grinding games against high level players.

I currently have 162 warzone rp jackpot which is alot while arena packs I only have twenty for each and since I completed unlocking everything I have many req points that I buy packs and out of the 8 I open only three have arena boosts.
I play both modes to get the daily req packs and the boosts I get are more tailored to arena boosts. I also seem to get more RP boosts for arena and xp boosts for warzone. I wish it was the other way around.
My experience has been that it is somewhat balanced, but your chances of are better in silver packs. Gold packs are more apt to give you two WZ cards, vs a silver pack with a WZ and an Arena card.

That seems to be what happens when I get packs. Fairly balanced but it is weighted towards WZ for sure. I usually get a lot of arena packs myself.
It would be nice to get more arena boosts. I have 12 assist gambits for arena and thats it. On the bright side there were a few days that I didnt have any arena boots left so at least im making an improvement on my stockpile lol
