The REQ pack system is OK. Definitely not the best loot system I’ve seen, not the worst either.
My single biggest complaint with the system is that I am level 30+ Spartan and still have not unlocked a new visor. That is a key visual component to your spartan design and you see it every time you start a new arena game. I have a couple dozen armors/helmets/emblems… but still only the starting visor?? I don’t even like the blue visor! Part of the problem here is every month 343 seems to release an disproportionate amount of armor packs. Why not instead of doing one more armor pack release a few visor packs instead? Or a large weapon skin pack. A bunch of the armors really don’t look all that different from each other anyway.
Also, one other thing that bugs me about the loot system is how little of it can be earned. There needs to be at least a core amount of each of the different customization options that can be earned. Like, you finish the campaign so you get one of each(Assassination, stance, weapon skin, emblem, visor, armor, helmet) or something.
