I thought it was really cool that there were different gun variants and rarity’s…that is until I realized that you need ridiculously high REQ lvl to even use them. To equip my common AR, I need REQ lvl 8. FOR A F**KING COMMON! By the time I get lvl 8, the match is over and I am sad. If 343 is going to make you get REQ lvl 8 for a common AR, probably the worst gun type in the game, what lvl do they want us to get for a legendary DMR? 30? 40? Seriously guys, this needs a fix, and it needs one soon.

In the same boat. Been in 3 WZs that actually reached Req lvl 8 (never seen 9). I thought I was super lucky getting the AR with the energy bayonet (requires REQ lvl 8 to just use) from my first req pack, and I have only spawned with it once ever. Used it for less than 30 seconds, got 1 melee kill, and that was it.
I can understand the need for balance as a match ramps up to the end. But it feels like pushing a car up hill with the brakes slowly being let off, to just get to the top with ice on the other side that yanks the car from our grasp.
Maybe a reduction in AI kill points (instead of 150 for legs, how about 25), or increase the cap from 1k to 1500, or heck even 2k? Would love to see the chaos with tanks, flyers, warthogs, mantis running every where with a 2k cap.
You’d think the main weapons you would be able to spawn with immediately.
Yeah they need to definitely fix the req levels like you only have to be 5 or 6(I’m not sure) to get a scorpion tank which is the most powerful vehicle in the game but i have to be freaking 8 to use a DMR that has stabalization jets, its ridiculous.
And to think that it goes up to lvl 10…getting different rarity’s and variants of guns doesn’t matter if you cant even use them. Seriously, how do people ever get to use their rare, ultra-rare, and legendary weapons if you need lvl 8 to use a common? It just doesn’t make sense.
I’ve never even had the chance to use my level 8 AR.
