Ok I’m sure this has come up in a previous post, if so please let me know
Buuuuut
Why did they go with the req system they did? I can see to using req cards but y make it random? I mean i m not trying to complain here but wouldn’t it be more ideal to have things that we can unlock?
Idk, can somebody help me understand is?

He’s saying it should be more like reach

As I said I’m not looking to -Yoink- about it so much as to understand the ‘why make it random’
It just doesn’t make sense to me so I’m trying to understand
My guess is they wanted to make it a little more fair for everyone so they made it random. This way, everyone has a chance to get a high REQ weapon/vehicle right away instead of making it an unlockable item which would give someone who’s been playing longer the advantage. For customization stuff, I would agree with you and think they should’ve made more armor available through other means.

Kind of but at the same time no
Yes I would like it to be that way but I’m looking to find out y they made it so

Ok, that makes a little bit more sense but then why add the armor to it?
Don’t really know. They could’ve thought it was an easy way to do things or maybe they didn’t think of doing it another way. There was also a lot of armor made well after the game came out. They might’ve not been able to add stuff to achievements and things like that due to UI issues.

Hmm, good point
But it doesn’t account for them not doing this with starting armor be for the add ons

To try to entice more people to buy them, probably. People really like their cosmetic items in video games, as you may know. So if the only way to acquire them is through randomized loot boxes, it would push more people to buy said loot boxes. And when the system is so dull and grindy that the quickest way to buy the loot boxes is with real currency, more people will be inclined to use actual currency to buy them.
At least I’m pretty sure that’s part of the logic behind it.
It’s a -Yoink- move from a consumer’s perspective, but a logical one from a business perspective.

American economics at its finest by the sound of that…not all surprising if that were the idea behind it

Yeah, it’s just a guessing game for the actual reasoning, but I forgot about Emperor’s point which is to get people to keep buying packs. That would be a good reason for it.
