Why is the corp mantis level 6 and regular mantis is level 5? I just got my first mantis cert (corp) but for warzone if I get to level 6 at the same time as my enemy they can just screw me with a scorpion! Obviously I could spawn a scorpion at that level which is probably stronger. Other corp levels are the same, including tundra, woodland and urban but not mantises! I don’t understand this! Why are mantises different than other vehicles on this point? 343 please at least rationalize this to me cause I can’t see any point of this.
You cant look at it by how it can be countered. Plasma pistols are only req 3 or even just dropped by enemy AI, base Spartan laser is only req 4, active camo only req 4. Plenty that can take out vehicles at any time.
The first part of your reasoning is correct: the mantis Corp should be level 5, but the fact that you say that when you reach level 6 the others have one scorpion is wrong: The mantis is a vehicle anti infantry and anti aircraft . So it is weaker than a tank but technically a level mantis 5 can easily shoot down a Banshee or a wasp.
The real problem is that you’re using the Mantis for purposes for which it was not created: It is right that a Scorpion destroys a mantis.
It’s because 343 recently dropped the standard Mantis from level 6 to 5. Corp Mantis likely stayed the same due to its increased armor compared to the base model.

It has more armour than normal mantis but yep once everyone is 6 or above it turns into a turkey shoot
Weaker vehicles get early access whereas stronger takes a little bit longer, what’s the point of calling in a regular mantis at the same REQ level as Corp mantis when both get wreck relatively easy by a regular scorpion.
