Req completion tips

Hey everyone, I have created this thread for all those trying to complete their req collection before infinite/new to the game. here is a few that I would give to others:

  • Chooses bronze packs over anything else until you get plasma pistol, saw, railgun, battle rifle, AR and shotgun certs. in my eyes and experience, these are some of the most powerful commons to get, keep the plasma pistol for vehicle hijacking and shield dropping, and the other reqs are there for a good close/long range power weapon that can hold its own - Save your golds. Your gold packs that you receive from possible randoms in matches, on waypoint, the ones you buy or receive from the newer commendations are great and they can help a bunch, but it is definitely worth waiting at least a silver pack or two, so you have a higher chance of getting a req of high rarity. - After getting what you NEED from bronzes (loadouts, power weapon certs, etc.) go straight to silver, the rest of the reqs. this way, you can guarantee 2 reqs for 5000 instead of possibly zero permanent reqs. - do not sell the gungoose, the almighty gungoose is your salvation, especially in WZFF, it is a quick, light and one-man offensive vehicle, great for early game, or getting around the map with at-least a little protection. also great for grenade commendations if you get it in the right spot at an armoury, which will get you more req points for more req packs. - Understand the req packs. this seems to be missed on waypoint so I will elaborate for the few who don’t know:
  • common reqs only sometimes give common reqs, they never give anything higher (with an exception mentioned later on). 1250 req points - silver reqs are guaranteed to give two permanent reqs of common to rare tier. This will be what a bulk of your opened packs will be. 5000 req points - gold packs give two permanent reqs ranging from uncommon to legendary. 10000 req points - platinum packs contain three permanent unlocks of rare to legendary rarities. additionally, has a roughly 50% increase in the quality of the reqs. 20000 req points, only occasionally sold, also given for free during HCS events - daily login packs contain req cards of ANY rarity, and have a small chance of containing any permanent req, will otherwise give grey and green req point cards. free, log in to receive the pack once per day - warzone/firefight daily packs are only received when you win a game of warzone/firefight. these contain similar reqs to the daily login packs. However, will not contain any arena boosts. Received once per day max, can receive both at the same time if you successfully complete a game of warzone firefight. - arena daily win pack is a pack that you recieve when you win any arena game type. only contains boosts plus either a req point card or rarely, a permanent unlock. - Ranked arena packs are packs that you receive at the end of an arena season. you can get these by qualifying for any ranked game type (10 games in one gamemode).5. also understand that these req packs are completely RNG based, so you may have opened just gold reqs and have received just mythics every time, while someone else only got uncommons. this is why going from bronze -> silver -> gold is important, by lowering the available req pool before opening gold packs, you will get more good reqs than the original pool.
  1. If you have a friend who has not done so, get them to gift their gift-only gold pack to you. Remember, do not use multiple accounts to do this, as this will get you banned, and you may lose all of your progress. 343i is strict for a reason, they won’t let you cheese their game system and cheat your way to the top, it is just going to do more harm than good to cheat.

Thank you for reading to the end, if anyone could please verify these/would like to make their own additions to the list, I will add them to the list:

  • qualifying for more ranked game types gives more ranked arena packs - the rank at the end of the ranked season changes the quality of the packsRemember, these two points are not to be acknowledged until they are verified by me.

I disagree, bronze packs are a waste. Bronze do not guarantee a permanent unlock, and oftentimes you’ll spend more than the 5k a silver costs just to get 2 permanent unlocks.

“But don’t I need certain unlocks first?” No, no you don’t.
You should sell everything that is not an RP boost so you can buy more silvers faster.

“But 50 RP isn’t much, why can’t I use anything?”
Those little 50 RP reqs will quickly add up, eventually becoming tens of thousands in the long haul.
By no means do you need to follow my advice; however, I strongly recommend making sacrifices in the short term to gain the the long run. Ask yourself this “why increase the length of my grind?”

If you don’t use reqs you’ll certainly suffer early on, but you become used to it. I still don’t use reqs as I’m selling everything to get more XP boosts.

In short only buy silvers till they start refunding you 2 1500 RP cards, because it can’t unlock anything else for you. Then use the gold packs you’ve saved up, and only buy gold’s until you’ve unlocked everything.

Save the bronze until the end as the only things that come only from bronze packs are mongoose certifications. Start with silver.

Do silvers until it returns req points, the go for gold is all you have to do.

Also, you can sell your common random weapon cards for 75rp and that adds up nicely.

At this point I wouldn’t worry about completing the req collection, maybe if you are a completionist ok but for most don’t worry about it. Completing it does nothing. Most should go for getting to 152. At least getting to sr152 grants a small token of appreciation in Infinite. Granted it isn’t going to be much of a token (not even armor as they announced) but at least it’s something. Odds are once Infinite drops H5 will really be a ghost town so getting games will be tough. So I would be using as many xp boost rather than rp boost to get packs.

I only suggested silvers to get some of the things, I meant to imply that the the bronze packs are optional and you won’t really miss anything by skipping

actually, by the time you complete the silvers, you only need to open 1 bronze for a rare emblem, there is no practical use for that strategy in my opinion.

NEVER sell your random req cards, be it weapon or vehicle, just take my advice on that.

The mongoose certifications come from bronze only. But as bronze packs dont guarantee unlocks, there is literally zero point in wasting your RP on them, unless you want a huge pile of weapons that get dropped by AI anyway.

It’s actually preferable if the Common permanent req cards are unlocked before any other permanent req card. Another bonus is that you will end up having a higher chance getting Uncommon and Rare permanent req cards from Silver Packs if you have unlocked few additional Common permanent req cards.

This is terrible advice!
Don’t do bronze-packs at all, they just offer trash reqs that’ll just dilute to pool of reqs you’ll get from silvers and gold.

Do silverpacks until it stops giving you unlocks, then go on to gold packs.

The main reason why it’s recommended to do Silver Packs instead of Bronze Packs is that the possible reduction in the number of req points that needs to be collected is minimal. The process of unlocking all permanent Common, Uncommon and Rare reqs from Silver Packs requires around 1.6 million req points and only approximately 300,000 RP constitutes to unlocking Common permanent req cards. This can be compared to the possible benefit of getting Silver Packs before Gold Packs which saves approximately 1.3 million req points.

Exactly, always do silver first, my permanent unlocks have increased tenfold when I started doing this, and of course they aren’t legendary, but you’ll get there in time.

I started the wrong way and opened gold packs not silver or bronze. But but I did get some good things.

i say gold or silver all the way the only issues most are the req levels

Regarding your comment that you need to open only one Bronze pack, that is not correct. You can get certain Mongoose certifications only from Bronze packs as Secret Face mentioned above. Thus, once you finish the silver/gold strategy, you have to open a few packs to unlock the remaining certifications.

huh, I’m starting to believe it now that there are more people saying it, but I thought I got a mongoose from a silver, or was it a gungoose, oh yea… I forgot to mention, lokk back at the origional post, I put something new in.
