REQ Codes

REQ Codes where issued during the event, however towards the end three (3) were issue simultaneously. The time allotted to enter them was way too short, as it takes a few minutes after posting to cut/paste or manually enter each one. Not sure of the allotted time to enter, but it certainly was short. Many others brought up this issue and it was sad to not even be able to enter one of the three successfully. They all appears as already entered and I was following the Forum Thread and the live chat like a “Hawk” to see when a REQ Code was issued The minute I saw it, I tried, but to no avail.

Unfortunately many of us do experience some type of lag too.

I was able to successfully get the other REQ codes before these 3 Codes and am happy for the opportunity to at least get them. I was online for the entire event till Mixer went down and signed off the air for the night on Sunday April 15th

There must be a way to see who entered the codes within a reasonable time and didn’t get them from who was sponsoring these live code giveaways.

Speaking from experience, it’s best to redeem the codes within 3-5 minutes before they expire.

I got the first one… Rainmaker I think it was. The other 2 which I entered right away didn’t work. Retried and Waypoint was getting blasted so bad by everyone entering codes it froze. By the time it recovered it was too late.

In fairness these three codes were a bit difficult to redeem. First, they were given out literally one right after the other so if you weren’t really on top of it then you might have missed a letter here or there like I did. Then, when submitting one code it continuously was loading, I moved onto the third it worked went back to the second code and it had already expired. I have never seen any codes given out like that, three in succession, and expire so quickly.

It didn’t bother me it was just unusual. I have been helping out with these code threads since we started doing them. There is really no rhyme or reason when the codes are handed out or how long they last. If you really want the codes the best thing is to watch the stream, have a separate tab open ready to enter, and hope for the best.

That is indeed true. The expiration for the codes is too short and should be extended to a more reasonable margin, but there would’ve also been hundreds of thousands (perhaps millions) of users redeeming the codes at the same time, slowing down the website considerably and delaying the delivery of the pack(s). Hopefully down the road, we’ll minimize those hiccups and hope the packs will be delivered and redeemed more efficiently.

Millions is a big, big stretch. At its height Mixer had 8,000+ viewers that’s not including the other sites streaming. I’m thinking at most 20,000 maybe. Yeah maybe extend the time to redeem, but really even with that there will always be issues for some when redeeming the codes.

chances are nobody will get a spare voices of war pack to give away right
