If req cards come with the super special limited ultra edition of Guardians, then I don’t guess it’s much of a leap to assume that they’ll be available for purchase at some point. Is this not a “pay to win” proposition? Is this compatible with the Halo combat philosophy? Will this this set the traditionalists on fire? Will people love it? Will you buy them? Please sound off:
Well, it could be like that, or they could be drop only. I see no reason to assume they’re purchasable. But given that LE buyers are being given 14 of them, I would assume the drops are reasonably common.
I would hope that you can’t pay for drops, although what it looks like from the gameplay req drops aren’t exactly very hard to obtain normally anyway.
I wonder if they meant literal physical copies of the in-game req cards.
I don’t think 343i would suddenly implement Pay to Win microtransactions. Seems like a bad business decision.
You obtain better weapons by playing it more, and getting cards. During the game you obtain energy, or something like that, and you use that to get better weapons later in that game. I believe this was explained on ign’s interview. Today on Xbox Daily they will have further information.
Not exactly pay to win if you have to earn the cRs (energy) to “buy” those cards into an active game.
And as a humble yet formidable Titan Pilot, all those req cards won’t do you a licking difference if you don’t use them effectively. Great pilots are made greater by Burn Cards through certain abilities but poor pilots never become great because of their card surplus.
Since Warzone is meant to be an asymmetrical battefield, I am more than welcoming of its addition beside BTA (Big Team Arena).
Pretty sure req cards can be obtained by playing any part of Halo 5, they contain cosmetics like armour pieces/sets and also weapons and vehicles which can only be used in the new warzone gamemode that’s all I can remember from watching the vidoc.
Even if peolpe could buy cards they need to earn energy in the game to buy them, and they have to have some skill. All a good player need is a plasma pistol and magnum and they can bring down any vehicle or power weapon.

I don’t see req cards going for sale for real money. i think you just earn them by playing any game mode.
