There is zero consistency to it, which greatly concerns me.
I like the idea of insane sandbox craziness, I like the idea of AR starts in this mode with the ability to buy more with what you earn in-game, but Req Cards are going to be the death of this gametype. It basically comes down to which team has saved the most top-tier stuff. I get that it unlocks in tiers, I really do, but which team is going to win? The one that can access a Warthog, or the one that can spam out Mantises? Making such powerful and game-changing things hidden behind random drops and how much you can stockpile pregame will destroy everything this gametype is trying to be.
If Warzone is all about using the whole sandbox, why is it under a RNG that isn’t even in-game?

Hence why I said “Could”
From what I’ve seen in the videos and such, there is a limited amount of each item you have, which means they are consumable. That leads me to believe sandbox is locked in this req cards, which means incredibly random factors such as “Which team has a cumulatively better arsenal” are going to decide the game more than team work and skill ever will.
Nobody is asking for this gametype to be legit MLG pro, but the Req Card system is a major flaw in an otherwise brilliant gametype.

Which again is entirely dependent on what you have at the start of the match.

True that. Let’s just wait for more info, I heard there was a 343 panel tomorrow where people could ask questions, right? Hopefully someone will bring up these concerns there.
Does anyone know if people outside of E3 can submit questions to such panels?

Sigh
They’re going to ruin it. It was so cool, and so briefly was it going to kick -Yoink-, and now it is dead.

You also said “will”
You can’t even use the cards without accomplishing things. Presumably.

When you have to pay real money to use in-game vehicles in a BTB match there is a whole hell of a lot wrong with them.

I doubt they would put microtransactions in. Like they said req cards are earned through arena multiplayer.
Why can’t we just have weapons on the map? Like honestly this is getting incredibly annoying with all the random weapon spawning.
This is Halo, control of weapon spawns and locations is what makes this game so much better and different than any other game on the market. I feel like 343 knows this but is getting mad pressure from Microsoft to try and change things.
Other than the Req cards, Warzone looks truly worthwhile and a great addition to the Halo series.

We’re simply concerned. A lot of games are using the microtransactions ploy to get more money from their customers. It’s understandeable that some people are afraid that Halo might suffer a similar fate. Mechanics like the REQ cards seems like a possibility on introducing said microtransactions, which is why some are jumping to conclusions out of genuine concern for their franchise.

Concerned about what? There’s nothing inherently wrong with microtransactions. You aren’t just assuming that they will be implemented, you are assuming they will be implemented poorly.

> Concerned about what? There’s nothing inherently wrong with microtransactions. You aren’t just assuming that they will be implemented, you are assuming they will be implemented poorly.
That’s because most of the microtransaction systems I’ve seen are indeed implemented poorly. It happens far too often that the contents of your wallet determine the effectiveness of a player ingame. Halo is one of the games which has not implemented such a system (yet?), I’ll admit that it is perhaps an exaggerated fear of mine.
Sure your team could spam good weapon and vehicles in a game but then you have no cards left for the next match. If my team got 2-3 scorpions out of the field I’m not wasting my cards, might be needed in future matches. And we don’t know how rare some of the best cards might be.
