reports for unsporting behavior - repercussions?

do players that get reported for un-sportsmanlike behavior get penalised? and is hiding in a corner for a whole game considered un-sporting behavior?

the back story as to the reason why im asking:
tonight i had a game where there was one player who got 0 kills in a game that went for 2 rounds. fair enough, we all have a cruddy game from time to time where you cant find the enemies for love or money. ive seen a zero kill peep be the top player on the next game, horses for courses and all.
next game, same player again 0 kills after 3 rounds.
THAT got me interested…
the 15~20 games i looked at on their service record, not one kill! looks like they like to hide to get freebie points! some levels are hard enough without dead-weight. i would love to name names, but that is bad. i will have to settle for the shot that i took for personal reference should i encounter this individual again.

To answer your question, I’m pretty sure they need a ton of reports to have any action taken against them. From what I’ve heard communication bans are given out much more easily since in 2016 you’re not allowed to virtually use words that might hurt someone’s feelings while playing a game where the goal is to virtually kill them.

I’m not sure what playlist you are referencing that includes “rounds”. I know some people AFK in Warzone because they don’t really like it, but they can’t get anywhere near the same REQ pts in Arena games. If they gave realistic REQs in Arena it would cut down on the behavior you saw, at least as a way of racking up pts in Warzone. Maybe it was a weekly “featured” play list with bonus REQs you were playing?

Don’t forget the reward system in H5 is based almost solely on time in game and not on performance. It’s quantity vs quality. The game is designed so that everyone has multiple instances (take the monthly placement matches for example) where they feel they just have to “go through the motions” over and over to get to the next level. So just like a job that pays by the hour instead of by amount of work accomplished you’re gonna have some people just show up and sit around.

If enough people report them, there Xbox Live reputation will drop and they will be unable to match players in matchmaking.
