Report everyone that quits games

Anybody else getting annoyed with teammates or even enemies constantly leaving matches halfway through and completely unbalancing the rest of the game?
I’ve encountered games like this time and time again where a teammate quits and from then on, no matter how well my team does, the game is completely unbalanced and cause your team to loose and resulting in an unfair de-rank. I’ve even had a game on breakout where two members of my team left after the first round just because we lost it which then caused my last teammate to quit due to frustration which left me in a 4v1, this then means I have almost definitely lost and gives me a de-rank and there is nothing I can do about it. how is that fair in anyway?
In my opinion 343 need to implement much harsher punishments to people that repeatedly leave games in order to stop this because I find that 1 in every 3 games I play at least one person leaves and ruins the rest of the game. This is why we as a community need to either stop quitting the games ourselves, if that applies to you, or we need to report EVERYBODY that leaves games early thorough their gamercard so that 343i or Microsoft recognise the people who are doing this and can give them appropriate banning times or warnings. This will hopefully reduce the amount of games that people are leaving and give the whole halo community a much better experience on the game. If you are reading this please make sure that you do this and hopefully it will lead to much fairer games.
Secoundly, I think 343i should match people who consistently quit with other who do the same. This would be a fair punishment to those players and will let people who don’t quit experience the game to the full.
Lastly, 343 should make it so that people who finish the game loose less XP/Rank than people who quit the game. This will reduce the amount of people who quit just because they are loosing as it gives them an incentive to stay in the game.
If you have any of your own ideas please feel free to add them in the comments and just give your overall opinion on the issue. Lets get rid of these quitters once and for all.

Lets get rid of them

definately

I never quit unless I absolutely have to (not going to be late for work or RL crap pops up) go ahead check my games you will find very little DNFs just one or two at most

I think you just need to get better at the game so you can win a 4vs3. Practice and help you team out instead of whining against people who still play the game. Otherwise, you may lose everyone else.

I will report anyone stupid enough to do this.

Is it a problem in some games? Yes. But the game does not need your help to issue temporary suspensions.

Do I care that people on my team leave because they don’t want to take a beating, no I don’t. I’ll continue playing the game, or leave myself, it doesn’t bug me at all. The fact that many of you care so much about your precious stats on Halo is what irks me. It’s a game, it’s meant to be enjoyed, win or lose. Besides, there’s quite a few people out there who do have valid reasons for mid-match leaving.

These threads need to just die. Nothing needs to be done any further.

For a start ,not trying to be cocky, I would consider myself at least above average, individual skill cant always win you games. especially if you are playing a game mode like strongholds, capture the flag or breakout. How about you try not to be so ignorant and realise that i’m not “whining” and that i’m trying to make halo a better place to play and improve the community.

Is the only way to report them through Xbox Live? There is no Halo 5 report feature right?

I don’t care about my “precious” little stats, I care about having fun and enjoying the game. Incase you haven’t realised, when people who are genuinely good at the game get de-ranked due to teammates quitting and get placed in lower leagues, it means that they play lower ability level players and makes the game LESS FUN for the people who are matching people way above their skill level. Also people who have valid reasons who leave aren’t a problem because if they aren’t doing it frequently they wont be banned.

That’s a good point maybe 343 should implement something like that

I only have one DNF on my record and it was a connection screw up. Funny thing is that the whole time I was waiting for my Box to reconnect, I was worried someone like you on my team was going to report me and I was going to get a ban or something stupid.

I’ve been losing people on my teams lately, too, but there’s no way to know what happens to them. You want to add insult to injury for the people who got kicked?

I get that some people do disconnect due to the games servers but since that’s not a frequent thing getting reported once wont have any affect

When people quit games it seems to me that they never wanted to be there , regardless of whatever petty excuses they tell themselves. I would presume how to set up a system for penalties for playing or the lack thereof.

I have my own ideas, amongst a lot of other EU players, we don’t give 2 sh1ts about your servers that we are placed on in MM, so if we leave, it’s because we have little or no chance of having a fair fight, get that through your thick head before you post a wall of Narcissistic cr4p
oh and learn to spell you moron

LOL. I quit a game today because my dad called me. Some of us are grown folks with stuff to do and things can pop up any minute. But Ive also quit when other people quit a couple times last week. I think repeated quitting should be punished. maybe 2 quits in 1 day. More importantly 343 needs to add social slayer for people who dont want to play with a competitive mindset so they can quit whenever. Social Slayer should give half REQ points and XP. Quitting is always an issue in Halo, there needs to be a place casual halo players can go.

Why can’t most of these commenters get it past there thick heads that it is really easy to tell if someone has rage quit or dc.
When someone has 0 kills and 5 deaths and they leave (dc according to them) and start playing a different game or go offline 2 mins ago. They deserve to be reported.
There is a reason why when you report someone, there is an option called quitting early.
If it isn’t a big deal, why did Microsoft put it as a reportable offence.
If they did dc, they most likely wouldn’t have been playing badly or just died.
“but what if they’re bad and dc? " a warning wouldn’t harm them like someone who quits all the time and gets a message from xbox live telling them to stop.
A temporary ban is very ineffective to someone raging.
" I was going off anyway lol” is something they would say.

Or you can get it through your thick head that some people get booted randomly for an accidental betrayal, or something messes up the connection, and they get booted out of the game. Report if you wish, but it’s not going to fix anything. I report when teammates are being -Yoinks!-; betraying for weapons, being idiots in general, etc.
THAT’S an offense.

I mean that’s very harsh. Leaving a game early already effects your Xbox live reputation, it practically reports you by default.
