Replacing old d-pad with new d-pad?

Alright people with amazing technical skills and people that know people. Do you know how I can replace the old d pad on my controller to the new transforming d pad or a company that can replace it.

Seeing how the thing operates and works, I don’t think that you can replace your old d-pad with the new one; you may have to get a new controller.

You can’t.
If you were swapping out say a broken dpad with a identical non broken dpad you would just unscrew the visible screws and the hidden one under the the battery pack the rest is pretty simple.

This would void your warranty.

But the transforming dpad can’t be put on a normal controller.

EDIT:You would also need a torx t8 security screwdriver.

What he said.

I have taken apart several 360 controllers over the years. Mainly to fix the dead zones (when your controller moves slowly in one direction by itself) that can be found in many of them. Also, to paint them for myself and others. I can tell you with absolute certainty that you cannot swap out the two d-pads.

There are more pressure switches inside the new transforming d-pad controllers. As well a second chip to recognize these connectors.
