Sprint should be built into the gameplay, not a pick-up ability.
Sprint can be disabled or enabled when customizing a game (same thing can be done to headshots and assassinations.)
So as a AA replacement for Sprint, add in SUPER SPRINT. It takes a very very long time to recharge, but when you use it, you’ll run as fast as a mongoose at full speed (for 3-5 seconds.)
Spartans can run this fast in the canon, so why not in the game?

:hands flameshield:
but I agree, Spartans are suppose to be fast and agile, Masterchief moves like a 95 yearold grandpa.
sprint should be a built in option but no aas

Hmmm… I am %110 percent anti sprint, and the reason i don’t even want it in as an option is because if it is, sprint will probably be the default option that people use…
So just like Armor Lock was a default part of Halo Reach, it meant the ONLY way to get away from it was to play Squad Slayer (now TU playlists, which i didn’t get to play b/c i don’t have a 360 anymore). If I wanted to play Infection, than there weren’t two playlists for sprint and another for no sprint. Same with other playlists i once loved. Big team DLC was still fun b/c of the great maps, but sprint still bothered me.
If they do add sprint (and sadly they will, it’s not even a question >:( , then yes they should make it an option
Now I’m sure that there will be a replacement for AAs in Halo 4, but they will play a bit different than in Reach and will not be called AAs.
No sprint.
this is a silly idea
Despite being correct canonically, implementing this “super sprint” in matchmaking wouldn’t be the greatest idea. I have a feeling it would be taken advantage of, not to mention cause a lot of frustration by escaping kills and increasing cheap double-pummels, which consequently slows the game down.
Essentially, what you could do, is create a custom power-up that doubles your player speed for 3-5 seconds. It would have the same effect, save for not being able to use it at will. Either way, I don’t think it would be a great idea…
