I agree. I love a challenge and the different things the skulls add to gameplay but making your entire gun and hud invisible is weird to me. I don’t see why they’d do that. Maybe for someone who wants to go around and Screenshot the environment for art purposes? But it’s a little eh for gameplay in the sense of challenges.

I could see the HUD gone and shield status only known by sound but an invisible weapon is SUS.

You have to remember: LASO wasn’t a ‘designed’ game mode. The Skulls were introduced as gameplay modifiers to achieve, for example, the screenshots (Blind), or alter resistances (Tilt), etc. The community themselves made LASO a thing. That’s the beauty of it. LASO is an entirely community-generated thing.
It’s where Shawn’s point makes a lot of sense. Should 343 now accept there’s a demand for a higher difficulty and introduce, e.g., a Mythic difficulty mode to replace it? My argument is no because LASO does it so well and is now such a ‘legendary’ thing.

Laso is meant to be the ultimate challenge and lives up to it. Would like LASO reach nameplate as that’s the only one missing. Adding a whole new playlist might be a bit much but I think adding all the Halo 2 skulls into every other Halo game would an interesting idea to mess with. Would also let players customise the campaign experience further. Imagine Halo reach with the assassin skull

First time I thnk you even see it gain dev recognition was for weekly/monthly challenges in Halo Reach, then the MCC achievements obviously

Works fine in a COD MP situation. But in Halo, you’d have to completely rework the AI and how they function to make that even remotely possible to complete. Take H2’s ridiculous difficulty and make it ten times harder. And ten is a conservative number.

I haven’t played that mode in COD but it sounds similar. Definitely, stuff like needle rifle rounds killing Kat is possible.
