Hey everyone, I’m not huge user of these forums but something in this “game” called Halo 4 compelled me to get on here and post.
Now, don’t think of me as a whiner when I state my case, because I’m not whining. I am trying to simply state what seems to be a glitch in the matchmaking system, at least for me anyways.
It seems that I have been demoted in a sort of way, not sure if this can happen in Halo 4 but it did happen in Halo 3 so I don’t know. However, I seem to be repeating ranks, as in I was playing today as my normal old level 47 self. I reached this rank about a day ago. So whilst playing to increase my rank because I want to get that elusive 50, I took note that it should have taken roughly 38,000 exp to reach rank 48. I was playing as usual and before I started I took note that my exp bar was generally filled, so the next match should have been the final match before my promotion. But to my horrible surprise it seemed that it promoted me but instead of showing the SR48 it repeated SR47. To make matters worse I know have to earn 40,000 exp instead of the previous required exp of 38,000 inbetween 47 and 48.
Now I think this has to do with that thing it does when you’ve been playing a rank for a while and your exp bar is half full or something and the game will show that you ranked up even though you had not. Such as… let’s say you just reach SR27 play two games and at the end of the second match it pops up and says you reached SR27 again even though you hadn’t. I hope some other people have experienced this and know what I am saying.
This glitch however in my repeating rank is very aggravating. I didn’t just spend 4 hours and 15 games to have to do it all over again. This glitch has happened to me once before, I just wasn’t sure if it was real.
I said to my friend, “hey S, I think it just promoted me to the rank I already was.” he said he hadn’t been paying attention to my rank but boy was I pissed. I really hope this gets fixed because this is becoming a deal breaker for me on this game. I don’t give up my life I could be living in the real world just so the game can -Yoink!- me anally and say it never happened! Excuse my language, this is just incredibly frustrating and I just want to strangle a baby right now.
Has this happened to anyone else? Or am I alone on this one. Maybe 343’s just trying to screw with me or something, I don’t know… anyone care to elaborate?
