RENDER HIS ARMOR: INSPIRE A STUDENT

Halo has a kick -Yoink- community. We all know that. After all, that’s why we’re here right? Now, I’ve never put up a topic on the forum page. But this is special. I work in a middle school, and I know a student that loves Halo. Like, A LOT. Even more than me. AND THAT’S A LOT.

Luis inhales anything he can get his hands on, from the mega blocks, to the videos, games, even the books. And of course, a whole lot of fan fiction and community art. So he spends hours drawing warthogs, armor, and crazy things like what it’d look like to combine a Banshee with a Scorpion, and a Wraith… Into a Banshee-Scorpio-Wraith Bot. Seriously. It’s a thing. He gives away his drawings to anyone that will take them, (and a lot of kids do) with his signature, and a patented speech he’s developed for each recipient.

HERE’S MY PLAN. I’ve got a few drawing from him, they’re a couple really cool armor renditions that look similar to the Hayabusa from Halo 3, but with mounted plasma blades on the wrists, and even the knees. Plus, a sort of mounted chest plate and jet pack to boot. This kid is nuts. Seriously. They’re pretty great on their own… But in reality they’re a little limited due to his materials, and the fact that he’s also a fifth grader. Just saying.

SO. REPLY TO THIS TOPIC. I’ll get you pictures of the armor, and you do what you do as an epic community member worthy of awesome praise and awards. Render his armor and inspire this kid to take his art and his imagination further into the world of Halo and beyond.

HOW? Sketch it, Digitize it, Airbrush it, (DON’T) Tattoo it, Color it, Stick it on the field of battle killing a grunt, DO WHAT YOU DO BEST.

ALSO, we’ll make it a competition. If enough people reply, I’ll post the pictures and then I’ll tell Luis he’s the judge. We could go through rounds! Get edits, maybe even get contestants. The prize is just really doing something amazing for this kid. Ain’t it worth enough knowing you inspired someone?

Alright, I’m game! I’m not a great artist by any stretch of the imagination but I’ll do what I can!
