Removing Gamemodes. Why?

With the new update also came news that grifball was being removed and this leads me on to ask why game modes keep being removed. I want to know why 343 just can’t leave things up like team fiesta and team doubles but instead limit them to being available for a week at a time even when people complain about not having these game modes. Is it a money thing? Also I’m going to guess that infection will eventually be removed just like grifball.

Griffball is still in there champ, scroll down

Some one pointed out once that their servers may not be strong enough to support a lot of play list… not sure if this is true but seems likely to me.

fix/add some things.
I’m sure Infection is gonna go away for awhile to fix some things.

But look at how modes they could fit in before in other halo games. There are loads in halo TMCC.

I still know that its there but I heard that in a couple weeks or so that it is getting removed.

Does TMCC use servers or p2p? I forget.

I think h5 low playlist count has more to do with low population numbers.

Even if there is low population numbers surely it does no harm to leave the mode up. If anything its more a waste of time monitoring them on a weekly basis.

No, leaving them up dilutes the already lowish population. If they just keep adding playlists, eventually search times go up, and nobody’s happy. Rotating playlists has been a thing forever, and it’s a good thing. If fiesta was a permanent playlist, you’d have a handful of people who’d mostly only play that forever, which draws them from other playlists, and also fiesta would loose some of it’s excitement because it’s just another playlist you can play whenever, rather than a special event for a limited time.

It’s basically just supply and demand, and having a lower population than Halos in the past makes it trickier.

MCC claims servers but I think it’s p2p… also mcc would have their own servers not necessarily the same kind as h5 servers.

Short answer is population management.

Probably this because of the promise for dedicated servers.
