While reading Wednesday’s blog post about the upcoming playlist changes surrounding the arrival of the Champions Bundle next Tuesday, I came across this:
> We’ll also be removing Crimson DLC in preparation for the Champions Bundle the following day. Speaking of…
What exactly does “removing Crimson DLC” mean in the context of this statement? I haven’t purchased either the Crimson Map Pack or Halo 4’s Season Pass yet; as such, I have not completed the Crimson DLC’s achievements, despite the fact that I fully intend to at some point in the future.
Does this “removing” mean that the Crimson maps will be permanently removed from Halo 4’s Matchmaking? If this is true, does Bungie have plans to reinstate them at some later point? I sincerely hope so, seeing as if the Crimson achievements are made impossible to unlock, I will not bother purchasing any past or future (i.e. the Champions Bundle) DLC released for Halo 4, as I would not be able to fully complete the game.
When bravo said “We’ll also be removing Crimson DLC in preparation for the Champions Bundle the following day.”
it means they will remove that playlist and you will be able to play the DLC maps in all playlists (maybe not all) as long all members of the lobby has that DLC… At some point, it will appear crimson maps also majestic and castle
For now, i would recommend buying the Champions Bundle

Bungie?? They left Halo a long time ago, 343 Industries runs the show now
> Temporarily.

> The DLC works on a rotation. Crimson is rotating out and Champion’s is coming in.

Probably just a typo. But it’s funny how many people are out there who still think that Bungie develops Halo games xD
