only thing i feel is weak about him is his melee damage. compared to the warlord its laughable that he hits harder than decimus himself. other than that i feel hes fine with his Y ability in his back pocket hes pretty good

Lol. Had a game a couple days ago against a Colony player. Fully upgraded Warlord + Decimus could hold their own against his Hunter Captain, few banshees and marauders. Mini eradication red bars tankier units and destroys weak units like Banshees, Warlord cleans them up.
Dunno but I think Decimus is fine. He doesn’t have the crazy damage output like Warlord, but his tankiness makes him really hard to go down.
I haven’t used him in a while, but the drop hero is pretty strong.
I wouldn’t buff that fella just yet.
But I still have wounds from the combo-siphoned warlord era.
That new Y ability is devastating
It’s not that he’s weak. It’s that he’s over-priced. Warlord is more powerful than him and less expensive at the same time.
I am not qualified to say, but in my humble opinion Decimus the Unit is indeed too weak.

Exactly, like others are saying yes his Y ability is useful but his main attack is what’s weak. You always have your main attack and only the Y ability certain times.

useless? He has the strongest y ability in the game, which is saying alot. Something else to look into is he is meant to oppress early game and because of this lacks many good drops as he should have gained a fierce advantage early game than always have game pressure from early to late game would make him OP for any other benefactors.
Praying for the day i find a forum without crybabies… aaaaanyway decimus drop is in no ways week. is it the best unit drop? by no means, but that does not mean he is weak. Decimus/warlord combo shred everything that walks, combo that with reavers and your set for the rest of the game, but maybe get a scarab for good measure. Has it ever occured to you to get the universal infantry upgrades? or that maybe your strategy in general just sucks and you need a new one? quit your whining and play the game
Decimus Drop bad? Is having him shoot 9 large Glassing beams that can bring a T3 base to half and wipe out an army of banshees if positioned right BAD? His damage may be a bit low but his ability makes up for that entirely to me. Decimus and Warlord can solo a Scarab which if that isn’t good enough I guess you really do want him to fly and shoot a scarab beam from his eyes…
I think his Y ability should be upgraded from blue to purple to red by investing points in his galls beam leader power. That would make him pretty damn powerful. Also would help to mix up the choice for his LP order. Most people go Killing frenzy > Vortex Lightning > Siphon > Boundless Siphon > Boundless Fury. But introducing this idea might help to change up that order to Killing frenzy > Vortex Lightning > Glassing Beam > Glassing Beam > Decimus Drop. Idk some may say that red beams of death would be too powerful, but you can’t get it until very late game, post 15 min.
