Since the season 7 launch, I have not been able to paly campaign or multiplayer on the Steam version of the game. As soon as either loads, I get a split-second pop-up the says ‘leaving’, and a immediately booted to the main menu. As of today, I am now being banned from matching making for it.
To clarify, this isn’t even the map loading screen, in fact, I’ve seen the map loading screen once since Wednesday. I’ve already followed a tutorial as outlined here; How to fix Halo MCC online co-op - YouTube , and several others as well. I’ve verified the installation several times, I’ve reinstalled it.
I’ve done everything I can think of short of faffing about in my routers setting, but at this point, I’m convinced its not a network issue. I’d like some help, or some news that thye know its a problem and are working on a solution, as I can’t play at all on the pc, and my xbox can’t run the game anymore either, (that, however, is a processer issue, it’s relatively old.)
Alright, since that opening post, I’ve tried some more things, various GPU fixes and other such. One was a similar problem that recommended turning off Discord. Good news is, something changed. Bad news is, the game will now not even turn on. In fact, MCC tried to force restart Discord (or it restarted itself at the same time) and crashed the game so badly that every icon and program on the desktop froze and turned black. After task managering Discord, the game will now no longer run, and will crash with either a UE4 fatal error, or a “system ran out of memory trying to allocate a texture” fatal error. So, until a fix comes out (or a proposed one works), my steam MCC is essentially a coaster.
