I played through halo combat evolved with my friend and we lost connection on the last mission and when it kicked us out it removed all my challenge progress
Issues with challenges resetting is known OP, 343 are working to fix them right now
Same thing happened to me.
I was doing elite company III and was 14/15. I reset my game because after 3 missions it never completed, and after the reset I lost all progress and it’s now 0/15.

Sign out of your profile before doing anything and sign back in. This will bring back the progress.
As an update to my post earlier, a patch was released today that should fix issues with challenges. After you’ve updated, give your challenges a try again and see if that fixed it for you
