All the games I’ve played, most players use the shotgun instead of the sniper, that takes away the excitement the type of game, remove the gun or Change it by a magnum

in fact i love using the shotgun with the snipers, close and long range are the best choices
i am more interested in swat, but shotgun + sniper seems like a good choice

Shotgun user are bad kids. There’s nothing we can do about it. We’ll have to wait until they bring a real team snipers playlist to matchmaking to wash out all the bad kids.

Well I guess I’m a bad kid now because I’m incapable of using a Sniper Rifle against someone who is trying to shoot me because of my overly twitchy thumbs making my aim go all over the place, which is why I only use a Shotgun.
If it was Team Snipers, there wouldn’t be a shotty. That’s why it’s Shotty-Snipes.
I agree that shottys take out a bit of the fun with playing against someone at close quarters but it is called Shotty-Snipes. If you don’t like being hit with that double tap from a shotgun after he popped you once with a sniper round, simply stay off the playlist.
I’m certain a larger variety of playlists will be available soon and you have your Team Snipers again.
I found it not really easy but easy enough to keep distance from shotty heads. When I do get up close and personal I shoot with sniper to get shields down the BOOOM swing the shotty out and give them the final blow and it feels epic
Oddly enough I find the shotty is the best way to counter other shottys. I’ll use a sniper most of the time, but if I hear someone running up to me, I switch to my shotgun and 9/10 times prevent someone from recklessly rushing me. There should be a sniper only playlist though.

Shotty-Snipes is a staple of Halo.
Its good to have shotguns but i would use the sniper but my only problem is that the sensitivity is to low even at 10 as it feels like a im driving a tank but otherwise i would use the sniper other than to get the commendation

This is exactly what I do. I just get annoyed when the other team ONLY rushes you and there is zero chance to use the sniper. I run around corners and BAM I’m done for as they have a shotty out and I am still packing the sniper. xD
It’s all situational. If you’re turning a corner/moving around the map - your best bet is to keep your shotty and your boost handy.
