Check out the armor I’m wearing right now. Scout Outrider. Looks pretty sweet, eh?
Well, it looks like -Yoink- whenever I’m placed on Red Team because of those horrible pink stripes you get on your armor whenever your made to fight for the Reds (it looks especially bad when you get T-bagged). Can we do something about this?
343 Industries already changed Blue Team’s colors a while back to make them a bit lighter- something about Blue Team’s darker colors giving them an advantage- and I get that that was for more practical reasons and this is more of a cosmetic gripe, but it also means it can’t be that hard for 343i to modify team colors in Halo 5: Guardians.
I was thinking Red Team could do with a darker color palette with a lot more red and a lot less pink. Maybe Carnelian/Brick? It would just make my Spartan look a little bit cooler when I’m taking screenshots or recording clips from games where I’ve been placed on the Red Team; savvy?
Yeah, it is kind of nitpicky. But it also wouldn’t be that hard to change (again, they’ve done it before for Blue Team), and I don’t think anyone would complain if that hideous pink trim was gone from their armor. That’s all I’m saying.
I’d honestly prefer if we just went back to either the way the team armor colors were when the game launched, or solid red and blue that we had CE-Reach.

The only thing that’s changed with the team colors since launch is they made Blue Team’s primary color brighter… they did this because they felt that Blue Team’s darker colors made them harder to spot; and honestly, it looks better the way it does now. Just compare it to the pastel secondary colors Blue Team had at launch, which can still be seen on the REQ cards.
Also, having our Spartans be one solid color in Halo 5: Guardians would be bad. It worked fine in CE-Reach because the armor designs in those games were good, whereas in Halo 5… you have colored undies and power ranger armor.

I don’t agree. I think the colors that the game launched with looked far far superior than the bright saturated colors we have now.
As for your second point… I also disagree and can’t take you seriously because of the whole “Power Ranger” comment. Solid colors would work more than fine.
My, my, OP. You never seem to stop criticizing on anything when it comes to Halo 5. Don’t you ever get tired of doing so?

This is something that has been bugging me since Halo 4 when they first started using pastels for team colors. Same as colored techsuits.
It may be a relatively minor issue, but it would also be very easy to change. 343i has already done it once by changing Blue Team’s colors. They can do it again.
What is wrong with pink? I like pink.
I quite dislike the pink, so having the secondary be a darker shade of red would be quite welcome.

Yes!!

Not everyone does. I’d go as far to say that the majority of people don’t like pink. It’s an ugly color.

This guy gets it.

Not everyone likes the color blue. It doesn’t follow that they should change the colors so that Red Spartans fight Purple Spartans.
This man- I mean uh, living being, is clearly a sexist, chauvinist misogynist who should be given a time out for his opinion.

I believe all I suggested was that the pink trim should be removed from Red Team’s armor in favor of something slightly darker, like Brick. When did Purple Spartans come into the discussion?

You’re suggesting making an arbitrary change to the cosmetics of an entire game based on your personal dislike of the color pink. Some people aren’t fond of the color blue, by your logic then 343 should removed blue spartans in favor of purple ones. But then again some people dislike the color purple. And while were at it some people aren’t fond of the colors; green, yellow, and orange. A few people don’t like the color red (not that I would associate with them). So should 343 remove all those colors because a small subsection of the community doesn’t like it?

There’s more than a small number of people who don’t like it. On my previous thread on the same subject from months ago, most people who replied agreed that the pink trim should be removed.
If nothing else, it’s doubtful that very many- if any at all- would complain if 343i did remove the pink secondary color from Red Team’s armor.
It could also be argued that having pink as a secondary color confers a slight unfair advantage to the Blue Team; 343i changed Blue Team’s colors because in vanilla they were too dark, thus making them harder to see. If you’re on Red Team and wearing armor where your secondary color covers most of the armor’s surface, it would do the opposite, making you easier to see and thus putting you at a disadvantage.

They criticize the game to make it better. They do it because they like the game and would want to see it improve.
Gah asking for a color change… we will end up with white trim… Since you know it’s on almost everything…
I would be happy if they did the trim on both teams black…

A: If you mean this thread you had one response. This one had more responses, but still not a dramatic amount and still had positive responses to the color. Even the responses indicating a change seemed to prefer the ability to choose your own secondary as opposed to switching it to your color choice. You can’t demonstrate that a majority of people who play Halo would like pink changed to your preferred color.
B: So? “A lot of people won’t complain” isn’t a good reason to do something. A lot of people wouldn’t complain if 343 made red teams armor completely pink. That doesn’t mean they should.
C: You’d seriously have to demonstrate that in order to have a leg to stand on. Show me that there is an disadvantage caused by the color pink. If you make a claim you have to demonstrate it to be true and I have my doubts that you’re going to be able to do that. Show me definitively that this is the case.
D: Three threads on this topic in under a year. You seem a bit obsessed? Why does this bother you so much?
