My biggest issue with Halo has always been the movement or what I call artificial penalties for the sake of hindering the player.
I want improvements in games from a mechanic or game play pespective.
As far as map goes I wouldn’t mind the non symmetrical style maps if the movement wasn’t such a hinderance.
I just like games to feel more fluid overall…example…titanfall/apex/gears etc
Give us some evasive action etc and I can deal with the other changes the series makes.
Just don’t like moving like a tank…main reason I liked Halo 5 so much…felt like it got the mix just right.
Everyone should have the abilities…not pickups where one person can move and others can’t etc…
it creates balance issues.
Launch Site is very one-sided.
Most Capture the Flag matches lean in favor of who has to defend their flag the most rounds.
It’s very much like High Ground, but unlike High Ground, I actually like Launch Site because of how open the map is.
In that way, I guess that you could say it’s actually closer to Zanzibar.
Ghost Town is actually closer to Live Fire.
The movement in Apex actually doesn’t feel very fluid.
I like that you can slide faster, but other than that, characters feel heavy.
With Gears of War, it’s weird because of the cover system.
I’d like that, but Halo has always had elements like that where some players had items others didn’t.
However, there is usually a disadvantage to balance that.
Both sided defend the flag 2 times, there are 4 rounds. The only times 1 side had to defend more, is if it’s 3-0 after 3 rounds, so the last round is not being played (because the winner is already decided). But then it’s not because 1 side defended the flag more, but because the other team couldn’t defend or attack it.
And in my CTF games on that map, the flag was captured way more then it was succesfully defended.
I guess I just forgot that my team often captured it at least once.
Still, from what I’ve played of the map, it’s been easier to defend the flag than to capture it.
Agreed, was just thinking about this. I only play ranked so its CTF 100% of the time and I cringe every time this map comes up. I hate it whether I do well or not.
I agree, and about launch site.
Launch site is the most unbalanced map in the game. Its larger than Behemoth and has way unbalanced weapon spawns.
At least they had the state of mind to not include launch site in the ranked hopper.
I miss maps like Sword Base, Countdown or Reflection. Vertical maps like that were done well. Launch site is just stupid by comparison.
Behemoth just feels like they were trying to remake Halo 2’s Relic map… But they cut the base in half and spun both halves around and stuck a bridge between the halves and called it a day…
I never had issues with 4 v 4 and vehicles. All of my local matches with my buddies had vehicles even if it was just a few of us.
Behemoth has tons of weapon spawns that can obliterate vehicles, like the forerunner beam. I see people complaining but i dont see anyone picking up weapons to take them down. I
yeah this is part of my point though.
We don’t even want to have to get the weapons…I am not going to go search for a weapon in a 4v4 to get rid of that vehicle because I simply don’t want to.
It doesn’t feel good or right.

I get what you are saying but I simply don’t agree that they should even exist there.
I seriously believe that Behemoth is the best map that 343i have ever made and that it is BY FAR the best map in Infinite. I will admit that it is not great for SWAT, but for CTF and Slayer it is great. Up there with the Bungie greats.
