Remove the map Behemoth from the game

Behemoth is too large for 4v4s and the map is utter garbage when it comes to spawn systems. It doesn’t work with any gamemode. This large map shouldn’t be in ranked, socials, swat, fiesta and ANYTHING.

Especially in Swat people just camp the far corners looking into the map and pick you off before you can move.

When its obj (ctf) if your defending a flag or attacking the flag and you die you’ll always get spawned far away from your team in the most random and open spot and have to make a journey to regroup. I’ve never played oddball on it so thank god that’s not a thing because that would further show how bad the map is with the respawns

Fiesta is not great for it, I literally found a scorpion tank at the start of the match during the Tenrai event and bagged a perfection with 30 kills by just sniping them from my spawn because they just kept getting spawned in random open garbage areas.

The issue for slayer is like swat people behind you and shooting you as you spawn in. Its terrible how easily you can get behind a team’s spawn by hugging the edge of the map especially since the motion tracker is TOO TINY.

Up the range on that. Make it 22m or 25m. The 18m is too tiny I can’t tell when someone is close behind me until I’m already getting shot at. Especially when ppl are running and are about to come around the corner they’ll pop up on motion tracker as they enter the doorway its TOO SMALL.

Overall the map Behemoth needs to be removed from the game, its just like playing H3 4v4 on MCC and getting slayer on Valhalla. THAT MAP IS TOO BIG FOR 4V4s TOO, but at least with valhalla that map gets narrow when it reaches the bases so you can see and stop someone from trying to sneak around.

The map Launchsite needs to be removed too its just as bad as Behemoth.

this is a spicy take that i kinda agree with. but i think spawning in most maps are bad. welcome to the classic halo experience ladies and gentlemen

Oh I’ve known about terrible halo spawns but Behemoth has by far the worst one imo

Was playing with my brother on Christmas night with a bunch of rounds of Tactical Slayer. Anytime Behemoth popped up we both groaned in coming pain that usually delivered.

As everyone has said, the map is too damn big for 4v4 and on Tactical in particular much of the wide open area and the terrible spawn systems completely obliterates any rhythm to the game. You’ll either get immediately headshotted as soon as you respawn, or as you and your team are making a push across the map, the other team is already spawning behind you to peel off your scalp from the back.

Exactly the same stuff I go through on that map, its terrible and annoying.

To be fair I don’t remember spawns ever being as bad as they are now. A lot of it is just completely random, and could that with reduced radar it seems like people just magically appear.

launch site is horrible for anything except one flag and even then it is questionable. Why would one side get vehicles with weapons on them and other wouldn’t in slayer etc is beyond me.
Behemoth is only ok with CTF imo.

The map selection is just too weak to remove them though imo.

Personally CTF on Behemoth in Ranked is the worst map match-up for me, mostly due to the spawns and everyone having BRs. Even if the defenders aren’t spawning right at their base when you have them pushed back, they’ll respawn at points where the wide open area and their BRs will still make it extremely difficult to get the flag out of there, nonetheless get back to your base with it. Aquarius or Bazaar don’t have that problem.

Unranked with AR starts…its fine for me.

Behemoth and lauch site are great maps for fiesta. Everything else i can agree with

if you launch flag from one of the grav lifts after a sweep don’t be surprised to run into a full spawn… try taking it up the middle.

Taking it up the middle could still be pretty difficult as there’s plenty of good sightlines when you’re crossing that bridge for enemies on the outside to get you if you’re playing with BR starts, especially if they know you’re going down the middle as I’ve rarely seen people walk with the flag to take advantage of the stealth aspect of it (unless they’re using Active Camo when carrying flag).

Otherwise though, I agree that middle is the better option when not in a game with BR starts.

Ranked or Tactical just makes Behemoth a terrible map to play on.

I would be happy if Behemoth was removed from ranked.

It’s the only Arena map besides the asymmetric Launch-site to feature vehicles, and frankly I find Behemoth to be the most pleasing because of this. Not everything has to be a BR fest.

It sounds like a lot of the main problems that are currently being expressed are rooted to whether or not you’re playing Behemoth on Ranked/Tactical/BR Starts.

Otherwise, its more or less fine in regular Arena.

Not all maps will suit all playstyles. You will have individual preferences. Just because a map suits a playstyle you don’t like doesn’t make it a bad map overall.

And as the game matures… we will get more maps… they will settle into the playlists they suit best.

As for the spawns - I’m sure 343 are accumulating data and looking at the heat maps. Tweaks will come.

You guys are all a bunch of babies :rofl: who probably started playing halo with halo 5. And don’t remember 4v4 maps like hang em high, rat race, zanzibar etc etc. behemoth is a great map. It’s so boring to sit and play tiny small little symmetrical arena maps over and over like H5

Don’t bother with Swat Behemoth, basically spawn kill central. God knows I would just sit on one side and was to crack like 6 kills team spawns wait a second and boom more headshots.

It’s too much for swat honestly

But for as big as the map is, the sight lines, ease of navigation and overall layout makes it a pretty interesting CTF map, less so a Slayer map.
