But you’re going to have to deal with battle passes for Halo Infinite, because they’re obviously not going any where.
Woohoo more useless challenge swaps and other things because they won’t be armour which I can’t even use without giving them money. Brilliant idea. How about the whole thing goes and we get the armour we should have for supporting the game
I finished the Battle Pass a month ago. I finished the Weekly in one sitting during the evening on my day off. Not being able to progress at all just sounds like a personal problem skill issue.
While I don’t like the Challenges we currently have, and believe MCC did it better, I don’t think Battle Pass should be removed, because people would whine that there’s nothing to do and everyone has everything unlocked already for free, completely devaluing the feeling of wearing something you worked for.
I would like achievement and milestone based cosmetics like previous titles, and I would like to see a free section in the shop for an earnable currency, and level up reward tokens like MCC and Destiny Bright Dust, but to say Battle Pass should be removed and everything already unlocked is dumb. I’d much rather have a credit system and slot machine like Halo Reach.
And here I thought people played for “fun” not drooling over colours and helmets for armour. How the times have changed
Hayabusa? Katana? Recon? Inclement weather? Halo 4 special armors and classes? There was always an incentive to flex. People loved earning cosmetics through grind and hard work. It became oversaturated when tons of people had it, but the times certainly haven’t changed. 343 changed when they chose to put stuff in paywalls and lock away even basic colors.

Why not? it is easy to progress, you just log in, wait a minute for your challenges to load, then write them down (cuz you can’t see them IN game FFS) then once you finish them, check the new one in the slot, and write it down, repeat until out of challenges for the week - then ,just log in daily for a few matches (until the xp per match drops to 50xp) and then log out -and go play a better game, or a worse game, I find playing fallout 76 after dealing with the BS 343i has thrown at us actually makes Fallout 76 feel like a better game.
The real issue is, unless you BUY it, the battlepass is pointless to almost everyone, as the “free rewards” are garbage, and mainly just “challenge swaps” and “xp booster” which… only progress through the pass faster… or cover up the broken system of challenges by trying to RNG a better challenge…
Yeah that’s the biggest part of the issue. If it was stupid, out of the way missions that’s just time consuming, I could grit my teeth and deal with it.
But no, you need to PAY for the actual rewards. I guess it should be “Remove the battlepass’s paywall” or something but as stated it ain’t gonna happen.
