The ability to hijack Mongooses has not been good for custom games and detracts from the sillyness of this game. Honestly, it was fun driving around an enemy in Rocket Race or just somewhere else (forge with friends or something).
Really, there was nothing more satisfying than hopping on a guys Mongoose and then punching them to death from the back, then stealing their vehicle.
It would like be removing the feature for enemies to hop in your Warthog. Can you honestly say you’ve never driven an enemy/been driven by an enemy while you were on turret killing his teammates? Sometimes in BTB (Halo 3, I will never talk about Reach unless I say I am) things would get silly and an enemy would pull up to me and drive me around, letting me kill his teammates. Sometimes they might try to drive you off a cliff and you would bail out, making him kill himself.
Boarding a Mongoose and riding around in Halo 3 was cool, but maybe you can hijack from the front and sides, but from the back, you just hop on. I’m not even sure if you can punch people off a mongoose now, anyway.

Definitely No. That is what custom games are for. Perhaps what you wanted to say was add in a disable feature to board vehicles in forge so you could mess around in custom gaming, though in matchmaking disabling the hijack ability is absurd. That guy wasn’t being a good team player.

You can if two people on the same team get on the mongoose, then the driver gets out, and an enemy drives. But I support this thread, besides if you had the option you wouldn’t kick the enemy off, you’d jump on then beat them to death.

One of the funnest things is being a red guy and driving a blue guy around killing my teammates on BTB. Do not do this 343.
While I want to say making it so you can both hijack and just get on the back would be fun sometimes, the problems raised by attempting to hijack and actually just boarding would cause more harm than the good. Maybe making it a different button to board vs hijack could solve this, but I personally don’t think such a tiny amount of fun provided for a very small percent of the community would be worth the frustration caused to many others.
