Remove the ability to disable Crossplay. PC & Xbox should play at all times

Disabling Crossplay is a fancy way of normalizing dividing playerbases & making queue times longer. Especially in Comp where if you play on PC goooooooooooooooood luck finding a match. I cant even do my challenges.

Disabling Crossplay KILLS PC.

People tend to overexaggerate the ‘cheater’ boogeyman that doesn’t exist, if anything PC&MKB players are constantly frustrated at Controller Aim assist, so i’m not so sure about that myth, personally i REFUSE to play with mkb for comfort reasons as well as knowing im dead if i do. Out of all the hundreds of matches ive played i dont think ive come across a single sus player. Not even in Infinite either and take it from me, a very good player with 10+ years of halo exp, not sweaty pro levels of good but good enough to know when someone is actually a cheater.

Halo MCC’s anti-cheat is surprisingly very good. In Infinite sure there isn’t and there’s been some actual cheaters, but NOT in MCC.

I just think people do bad and assume everyone is a cheater as an escape goat to cope for not doing as good, nobody can just magically go 31-0 in games every time, just saying people these days think being bad = must be a cheater and overestimate their skill. No self honesty.

Get out. Nobody wants this. Console players shouldn’t be forced to deal with PC players.

Feels a little dishonest to not mention cheaters are predominantly on PC, which is the main motivation to want them quarantined. If there was functional anti cheat, KBM and controller still offer fundamentally different advantages to the user so mixing them is not all that ideal. If there was a functional anti cheat, the push back on merging players would be dramatically less but until that happens (it wont) PC players belong in quarantine.

This. 100% this. Its a failure of 343s anti cheat, granted, but My last straw with PC players was snapped when the spawn hack came along. I’ve got no time for PC players complaining about anything anymore, even legitimate issues.

Tch! And those of us who are just fine and play the exact same way you do??

Cheaters exist predominantly on PC because it gives more access to the user than a Xbox would.

That’s just one of the reasons why someome would prefer to play against someone using the same input and platform. It’s also why we shouldn’t take the option away to choose what platform or input they prefer to play against.

Sorry it’s a feature that needs to stay IMO… Every Halo game should have the features MCC has. Now I will be the first to admit I didn’t want to play with PC players as it’s to easy to cheat from PC, honestly I have never seen any gaming prowess from PC that didn’t involve using some sort of cheat/hack. But let’s not get into that, and yeah you can cheat from console and yeah it does happen but let’s be honest and admit it’s predominantly PC. BUT I will say I have never turned off any platform or input when it comes to multiplayer. I have had some suspicion with some players but nothing like some video I have seen. Match making as a whole has been a bit slower in MCC. Before infinite I could get H2A FFA game during the evening/night on est pretty easily. Now if I want FFA games I usually have to search at least three titles at once. So your match making could be slow due to composer settings, region, time of day… Odds are not that players can choose input/platform match making.

Nope, don’t care. I’m THAT rotted with the whole PC community. I’ll throw out the baby with the bathwater if I have to, I’m so sick of it. I wasn’t a disable cross play voice, but I am now.
Entire businesses have risen because there’s a demand to cheat. And IF they tried to force the game onto a console to wrangle the cheating, that same community is up in arms that they shouldn’t be excluded.

Nope, don’t care. I’m at that point.

Entire games have been ruined because of this problem. My experience and no one else’s for that matter shouldnt be ruined because of someone elses inferiority complex.

And what’s worse, is the deniability.
Like that streamer who got called out by lucid for cheating, and dude forgot to turn off his hacks so everyone could see.
And he straight up denied cheating as he was cheating.

Nope, no time for PC players complaints. Because I honestly can’t trust what you’re saying as honest.

I know for a fact that I play more Halo (in general, but mainly MCC) than 99.99% of players.

And I have seen a cheater once in the last few years.

This realistically is not a major problem for MCC. EAC appears to work quite well.

this is an absolutely terrible idea.

while PC and Console players do like the option of having crossplay and the default setting should be having it enabled, PC and Console players also hate having the option taken away and being forced to use it when they just want to play a specific input on a specific platform.

I agree with disabling crossplay. It makes no sense at all to divide the population. I’m on pc and I haven’t found any cheaters

I’m on PC and live in the middle of nowhere, New Zealand, and can still find games. That being said matchmaking has been slower lately - but the Pub team said something about this being a technical error that will be fixed soon.

I have crossplay enabled. I don’t think the ability to disable it should be removed but I’d encourage more players to at least try enabling it once in a while. Not all of us are blackhat hackers lol. In my experience playing MCC on PC (and I’m at 1500+ hours) cheaters aren’t very common.

Yeah, same. There’s this… Console mindset that’s existed since the late 2000s that every single PC player is a cheater and that there’s some moral superiority to playing Console as a result? And frankly, it comes from encountering modders in multiplayer.

No kidding, when I told my stepmother I prefer PC gaming for the modding scene, she immediately assumed I was some super hacker in multiplayer… when really by modding I meant that I liked giving my Argonian in Skyrim, a huge rack and cool swords. lmao.

But I’d never mod a multiplayer competitive game, no. Most of us wouldn’t. I mean, up until last week, Team Fortress 2 was dying because there were modders and bots literally every-frakking-where and it made the game COMPLETELY unplayable. And the scene rejoiced when EVERY single ONE of those accounts was banned.

It was great to see!

So Saint Budden’s idea that PC players are all just hack-happy modders who can’t actually play is… Ridiculous. I’d happily take Budden on 1-1 and I’d happily lose if they can manage it just to prove a point. I mean I DID post my record up there for all to see…

It’s no record to be ashamed of, but it is not a flawless record.

Crossplay shouldn’t be forced, EVER. Full stop. It’s about player choice.

I can confidently say I haven’t run into a cheater in my 600+ hours of playing MCC on PC, not to say they aren’t out there, but I mean with how often people find and “tolerate” them in games like Warzone I don’t see why that’s a huge concern for MCC when there are significantly less cheaters. M&KB on MCC is also not as advantageous as some may think especially in Halo which was developed for strictly consoles, the controller is way stronger than M&KB in this game and I refuse to play it on M&KB for that very reason.

All that said I don’t think we should “force” console players to play with PC players but I do think crossplay should be on by default in all modes and we let console players decide whether or not they want to queue up, I would say a lot of console players don’t necessarily care but there are a vocal minority that absolutely refuse any idea of playing against PC players because of whatever over-exaggerated opinion of the differences between console & PC they have but regardless there should at least be the choice.

If the main concern is the comp challenges though I do feel that, it takes a very long time to find games in comp on PC especially when you aren’t in prime time hours, it would be easier to just remove those challenges as gold challenges and put something more accessible in it’s place.

I agree crossplay should be enabled by default.

And I agree console players shouldn’t be afraid of MKB. I used MKB for 2 years and have since switched to controller only.

Seeing as population is practically dead at certain times regardless of platform I choose… I’m forced to turn cross-play on despite the amount of cheating on PC. I’ve seen enough cheating to know what you said isn’t totally true. I like to think I’m pretty good at the game but I also don’t want to pretend to be the best player ever either…at the very least I can tell when a game is not acting the way it’s supposed to play when I’ve been playing since the 1st Halo game on the original Xbox.

Why u want to play against a less performing and limited platform uh? Are you getting clapped and you need an advantage? Pathetic
