Halo 2, 3 , and Reach all have awful team booting systems. Booting drives away players, that simple.
Look at the Halo Reach living dead playlist. It allows team killing, yet doesn’t allow you to boot.
It has by far the least amount of team killing in any Halo playlist history. Its simply because everyone isnt treated like kids, so they behave more like adults.
LEARN from this 343.
Make Halo 4 have friendly fire and not allow team booting. There will be less team killing as a result.
No. The system needs to be revised though. It would be nice if players were notified that we forgave them for a betrayal and you are recognised for how many times you forgive players in your service record.
The reason that most people betray (from my own experience) is that they want a powerweapon (usually the sniper), in living dead there is no powerweapons, which means less betrays since everyone is to busy camping at the top of the cage.
Wait you want to keep friendly fire but remove booting options? That would suck awfully. We’ve all experienced playing with that one teammate who is out for just causing you grief, allowing him to get away with it and do it without fear of reprisal… not a good idea.
The booting system simply needs working on so it at least better detects genuine betrayals.

I don’t know whether your trolling or if your serious. Probably the former.
Are you kidding me? People betray more in living dead than any other playlist because they can get away with it and not get booted. What do you think will happen in actual slayer game or objective game? People will be betraying left and right for the power weapons.
Removing team booting only brings more incentive to betray. Must people have the decency and not be -Yoinks!- and betray you, but there are those entitled jerks or idiots who will betray for taking the power weapon. Imagine how much that would increase.
You know, most of the times those that are complaining about the punishment system only do so because they are on the receiving end of it.
The problem can be usually be resolved by stop being a team-killing -Yoink- and play the game. Though last I recall Living Dead still had the bulltrue/betrayal bug which is the only problem related to the system I can think of.

Did…did you just say Infection has least betrayals?
You kidding OP? Not allowing to boot will simply encourage MORE people to act like total -Yoinks!- because they would know they couldn’t be booted. Also, where as in living dead your score is the only one affected should you betray, with team-based gametypes, you AND your team suffer. This, again, will only encourage MORE people to act like -Yoinks!- rather than less.
Yeah really hate those players in Undead ho kill you after you had a close encounter with a zombie and they shoot you on purpose. They need to fix this
