Literally this perk is used by over half the Halo population and is the cheapest thing ever. If I work really hard to kill a vehicle I deserve the kill, not just a guy getting out and sprinting away.
And 343 wonders why we say this game isn’t based on skill and fairness anymore
> If I work really hard to kill a vehicle I deserve the kill,
i hate to be that guy, but is it really considered “hard work” if all one did is simply throw two sticky grenades?
i don’t mean to assume that you’re that kind of player, apologies if you aren’t, but with my current understanding, the only reason the Survivor perk exists is to counteract the Plasma Grenades + Plasma Pistol combo that is used quite often against vehicles.
And it’s not all that hard to eliminate vehicles with the above combo. So, many people tend to use it.
Is it a great solution? IMO, not really, but it’s better than guaranteeing your death by stepping into a vehicle.
I agree with you OP, that ‘perk’ is just stupid, it ruins vehicle game play even more than the allowance of starting with a plasma pistol and plasma grenades. It seems extremely cheep and poorly thought out
I didn’t want loadouts in the first place but let’s assume I did.
It gives ‘X’ an advantage over sticky 'nades, which with a game like sigh halo 4, you’ll need that advantage.
I honestly don’t understand perks in multi-player games. Perks always are designed to somehow counteract something else in the game to to make things “easier” for the player but in the end it always causes more balancing issues.
What sucks more is that to earn kills with weapons like the Spartan Laser, the best thing to do is not aim for vehicles, because even if you do destroy the vehicle with it, chances are you won’t get a player kill with it. It’s just one more way teamwork is discouraged.
You’re better off playing gametypes that have restrictive loadouts. Nothing this late in halo 4 is getting removed.
The perk only exists because of the PP+Sticky combo. But 343 can’t remove those from every game because of the commedations. halo 4 is literally counter on top of counter on top of counter.
And while i personally feel the base game feels like halo i can see the issues in MP. I still enjoy the game though.

Exactly.

We never had that problem when we didn’t have load outs. Halo use to be vehicle on vehicle action with the occasional rocket or spartan laser kill to counter vehicles. Now we start with plasma pistol and plasma grenades and now we get a “perk” to protect from anti-vehicle kills.
