Why is it that two people can’t play splitscreen on any of the forge maps? If this an apparent problem then why are they so prevalent through out team slayer? This game seriously lacks quality maps made by 343. I shouldn’t have to see these home made maps so frequently while playing halo. I wish more effort was put into the map making process so I wouldn’t have to try and avoid these other maps, especially when I’m playing with friends since we lag literally every single time and makes the game unable to play.
As for the JIP, it always seems to screw me over. Why is that when its a 3v3 someone almost always joins the other team but my team doesn’t get a teammate the entire game? this has happened over and over and its frustrating. It shouldn’t bring the first person in until there is a person for both teams. It wouldn’t be a problem if I got a teammate within maybe a minute or two… but I almost never get one the entire game! I only join losing teams but when I need a teammate most, i never seem to get one. JIP almost only works against me.
put simply, there aren’t enough quality maps and the forge ones lower the quality of the game (aesthetics wise and the inability to play with 2 people on the same xbox without constant lag). Also, JIP could be improved immensely. Is this not a place for discussion?

So you want Forge maps to be removed entirely? See, your title is misleading then.
I wouldn’t have as much of a problem with the maps if they didn’t lag for people playing split screen. It obviously wouldn’t work without these forge maps because there’s barely any maps to play on! I can play split screen just fine on DLC maps like pitfall and skyline so they could have made more legitimate maps to play on. I don’t want to play on these maps in the “top 200” because I can’t even play with someone else without it lagging and making it unable to play. It takes away from an element of the game I really enjoyed and turned it into frustration. The solution would have been to create more maps for the game when it came out, or released more to the public over time. I just think its ridiculous to have this lag on top of getting sucked in to unwinnable games or playing 3v4 the whole game. I’ve had it happen to me over and over in a night when it was 3v3 games and the other team would get a teammate and mine wouldn’t the entire game. It’s no fun because I actually try and win the games and this gets extremely annoying. 343 also makes it very hard on people who play solo or with a friend. Sometimes you don’t always have a full team to play with and the system works against those people.
See, the problem here is that Forge maps are the only supplement to people that don’t buy the DLC, since they’re FREE and, even as Forge maps, they still add variety where there would otherwise be none.
In order to fix this, everyone would need to purchase the DLC so that everyone could PLAY on the DLC, but no one wants to buy the DLC because not everyone is enthralled with Halo 4 enough to spend more money on it (see: me).
Therefore, they’re stuck with Forge maps, or removing them entirely to accommodate the lag issue and instead forcing everyone to play on Exile, Ragnarok, etc.
The only “win” all-around for everyone is for the DLC to all go free, but that would be a “lose” to Microsoft, the people behind Halo and the people behind the system in general, so that’s never gonna happen.
DLC maps should be free… We have 4 original 343i maps on team slayer, what? The rest forge maps. Don’t get me wrong, I love forge, but they do get old fast! It’s ridiculous, as a customer and a fan of the halo franchise, I feel disappointed. how is it that we pay you $60 for the game and then get stuck with 4 original maps on team slayer? I feel ripped off, halo 2 in my days, had so many maps, halo 4 today has had team slayer on HAVEN all day, every week! And 343i still thinks its a good idea to charge for new maps, when all they gave us to begin with was 4 for team slayer… Charge for weapon skins or armor if you want but don’t kill the community because you won’t make the maps available to all your players free of charge… It’s bad on both sides, if you didn’t purchase the DLC, your stuck with the same maps for a long time. And if you do purchase the DLC maps, you still can’t play them because more than half of the population don’t have them… How sad, and all because of money! If they were free, matchmaking would have had more variety and possibly more longevity! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ its all $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
