Agree on the TU part. Only reason people play it is for that 1 Flag cheevo probably.
They play it so they can play the maps because to many people are cheap and don’t get the maps…the maps a amazingly fun to play on.
Theere are numerous problems with the Squad DLC playlist holding it back from being an awesome playlist to play. Number one, it has vanilla reach settings, have you ever played a 6 on 6 game on Anchor 9 with grenades flying everywhere and and everyone armor locking left and right? not fun. The second problem are the gametypes that show up for votng. I mean AR starts on Highlands or Breakpoint??? Also, for some reason players are apathetic when it comes to the DLC maps, how many times have I gone into a Super Slayer lobby and Slayer DMRs on Condemned or another DLC map shown up and the majority of the lobby votes either none of the above, (if all 3 maps are DLC) or votes for something uber frustrating like AR starts on Countdown/Sword Base. Most of the DLC maps are better than any of the default Reach maps too it’s really a shame.
If the players that love ZB agree to pay an extra 20$ for their playlist, then they would be on equal footing. As to population, the TU ZB playlist cost the people that like it nothing and I have seen 60 players, sometimes less in it as well.
They should do a super jackpot weekend and some challenges for squad dlc. The only reason I don’t play it is because the population is so low that it’s hard to get a game. Which is kinda ironic…
I say keep it in, you don’t have to select Squad DLC though.
Sometimes I just wanna play new maps, But then again, I’m patient and can wait for a match to be found.
Maybe you could rally friends and others to play Squad to make the population bigger.
I guarantee that if Squad DLC got the TU, more people would play it. People also need to just shell out the money and buy the maps. They’re worth it, as most of them are much better than the default maps.
Make playlists DLC required

1… not many people have the money to afford the DLCs hence the low numbers of players on that playlist.
2… i have actually seen upwards of 300 people on the Squad DLC playlist.
and 3… Stop bitch1ng and moaning about the DLC playlist. When Premium Battle got removed what was everyone complaining about!!! Not being able to play the DLC maps on an exclusive playlist. So 343i give us a DLC specific playlist. Now you all have what you wanted, you are complaining about it being there and want it removed!! Makes no sense! Why ask for something just to complain about it and protest for its removal when 343i give it to us!!!

AL exists in TU setting games too, but it’s modified.

You do have a Pistol too.
On Highlands, the AR/M6 combo isn’t a bad combo as the bases and teleporters offer quick changes for either weapon and the amount of infantry paths with cover is high.
Breakpoint should be a DMR/AR start map as cover and weapon locations are sporadic.

I wish some of the CEA playlists offered DLC maps in the mix. I sometimes get CEA options in Squad DLC but never CEA.
In non-DLC specific lists, the DLC and CEA maps are a rarity to show up.
It sucks yes.
Squad DLC could go TU/Vanilla combinations as a means to determine if TU can help improve the popularity, but honestly, if the DLC maps aren’t showing up often in the other playlists, I don’t think it will do much more than piss off the core players.
… Yet in my experience of team-quitters, that may not matter. A lot more frequent that list than the others IME>
No, people need it to get achievements. And they payed for it.
