For the sake of all competitive gaming on halo 4, please allow us the OPTION to disable sprint. Halo is not as fun as it used to be in H2 and H3. And this is why! Your game is great and has so much potential. And we understand a huge selection of your fans love sprint. But at least give us the option to remove it. We could care less if you keep it in matchmaking, just give it to us for custom gametypes. A huge population of your fan-base plays competitively and all we play is customs. I believe we have the right to customize our games accordingly. Halo competitive play is not what it use to be. And you are losing a lot of fans because of this. Reach was the start of the decline, and when you bring back something we hated from it, well that just disappoints us like no other.
Please, for the sake of your fans, allow us to make one small change for our personal satisfaction.
One of the big problems with the competitive community is the fact that it doesn’t evolve. Most of the MLG maps were H2 and H3 remade forge maps. Why not actually adapt to the new game and play that way? If you guys had it your way you’d still play H2 (which is an amazing game) but H4 is this way so change your game play to fit it.
> Sounds like to me you need to go MAKE and PLAY your OWN Halo game. Halo 4 is fine the way it is. Stop trying to destroy it.
Yeah, that’s not a very good response. If he doesn’t like an aspect of the game that he purchased, he’s not allowed to complain but instead, he has to go and make his own Halo game? What kind of logic is that?
People who voted against having it as an option…shame on you. Honestly thats really all I have to say on that.
Constantly I see things on here about casuals not wanting to be forced into playing competitive only gametypes… I see however when it comes to forcing competitive players to play the way casuals would like…its completely fine.
There is nothing wrong with having an option to remove sprint. It has no effect on anyone other than the people who choose to play without it. Think for a second…
We have thread after thread complaining about the lack of customs options and yet there are still customs options that arent ok to have? please…

Who said it needs to be for the competitive? I can think of 5 reasons on the top of my head why sprint would be good not to have is CUSTOM GAMES, not COMPETITIVE. Prime example, jump course maps.
I’m all for more custom game options, but anyone who says sprint is a game breaker is completely insane. If anyone can explain how sprint breaks MP I would love to hear it.
Custom options should be increasing sometime soon in the near future. Sadly, however, it was stated somewhere in the bulletin that Sprint is default in all Spartans and probably won’t be allowed to ever be removed.
It should not forcibly be removed, however the option for custom and possible future playlist gametypes to be lacking sprint would be enjoyable for many.

See though the pros have already adapted their play to fit it… They are still good and they still can pub stomp. This isnt about adapting or being to stubborn to evolve. Its about making it fair and balanced while remaining exciting to watch. All of those things are important both to the integrity of the game and to its likelihood to remain a successful esport.
I personally enjoy playing the game with or without sprint… however, If i am watching an MLG event, I want small maps that are action packed. Sprint eliminates the viability of small arena maps and thus makes the game not as exciting to watch.
