While I agree that spartan charge and ground pound don’t quite fit on halo, its not that big of a deal. If you die because you were spartan charged, either you don’t pay attention to the radar nor your surroundings or you’re very lost. I’ve ninja-ed a lot of noobs who try to spartan charge me through my back, specially when they are ruining towards you, I’ll put several shots before they charge me and when they do, I mele and they are dead.
you just need to be smarter when dealing with them lol

I don’t despise it so universally isn’t the case (and I know I’m not the only one.) ‘Cheapening the gameplay’ is the kind of meaningless phrase people throw out when they have nothing to say. This isn’t twitter. This is waypoint. You’ll need to actually put effort into your posts here. It’s fine if you dislike Spartan charge, but you actually need to give reasons. Tell us why you think it’s bad. Give us something to talk about. "I don’t like x, remove it.’ press the button if you agree isn’t a proper discourse.
You can hear a sprinting spartan from a mile away, if you’re not at least aware that you are gonna be charged maybe sew some new years.

I would like to see it removed from all ranked playlists. Social, WZ and Campaign is fine.
It certainly does narrow that skill gap. Last night I had two players sprinting towards me so I thrust to avoid the first and kill him but then I was out of mechanics to avoid the next one (once the reticle is red it actually locks on). So I get hit and ARd to death.
You see this a lot from lower skilled players who will never beat you in a ranged fight. I would love to see statistics on the victor of a fight where SC is used and what the MMR is for both parties, similar to how they determined SWAT was the least demonstrative of skill.
I’d say remove the spartan charge ability to do damage or so much damage.
I like Spartan Charge and I’m happy that it’s here. I’d like HCS game modes to leave though. Actually I’d like to see everything about HCS to leave. Everyone talks about “Classic Halo” and the “Classic Halo Experience”. you didn’t have HCS or anything like it with H:CE … just a bunch of friends goofing off and having LAN parties in what ever space could host it.
So if Spartan Charge and whatever else you HATE goes… then so does HCS.

It’s not that simple I’m playing from Australia most of the time and with our latency and the ridiculous aim assist of SC it’s almoat undodgeable I’ve been hit through walls down floors and no matter which way I jump thrust move or dodge the mechanic still makes me take the damage I wish it was gone !

That makes no sense. HcS is the new version of the MLG playlist, present in Halo 3

This is false. If it was so easy to evade SC, why was it removed from HCS? If it was “balanced” as you clain, it wouldnt be necessary
My one problem with Spartan Charge is that it’s inconsistent. Sometimes when I’m charged at full shields, I die instantly. Other times, I hang on with a little health. The same thing happens when I charge. At first I suspected it had to do with the direction the charged Spartan is facing, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. If someone could please explain the inconsistencies, I’d be very grateful.

Still H:CE & Halo 2 were awesome and you know what it didn’t have… Competitive gaming that dictated how everyone else played. I missed online gameplay after I sold my original Xbox and started playing again with H:5. Halo 5 is exactly what Halo CE should have been, mechanics wise. But it’s being torn apart by the HCS crowd. The HCS/MLG need to be ground pounded and Spartan charged out of Halo.
I actually use that a lot, especially in PVE. It’s good in pvp too, but only if you’re not detected by the enemy. You can’t do that if they’re shooting at you, you’re dying way before reaching your opponent
Why Spartan Charge is awesome… In a match I was playing yesterday an enemy Oni Hog came into the fortress and started laying waste to our team. I didn’t have an anti vehicle weapon on me, so I became the anti vehicle weapon and gave that hog a good ole smash. Knocked it over spilling it’s contents out and the team put a couple shots into the enemy and walla … We had ourselves a sweet new Oni Hog. Thanks Spartan Charge.
I don’t like Spartan Charge, but I also don’t really like the way this thread is going about it either. So I guess I’ll start with the explaining why I don’t like Spartan Charge and would rather see it removed?
Spartan Charge isn’t something that guarantees a kill, but it has some insane “bullet” magnetism that seems to curve you towards your opponent, as long as the brackets are red at the moment of activation.

Since I’m not directly advocating for it’s removal, if I had to offer a change, I would either make a timer on Spartan Charge, or reduce all magnetism on it. Straight line or bust.
But then I got to thinking, why do we need Spartan Charge? It pretty much only exists so you can “melee” while Sprinting without having the double melee problem from Halo Reach. But Sprint is a whole separate can of worms that I shouldn’t get into right here.
