Remove Slayer from Quick Play

Since we have the option to choose to play Team Slayer, wouldn’t it be smart to exclude Slayer from the Quick Play option? If someone wants to play Slayer, they’ll most likely enter Team Slayer anyways, and not queue up in Quick Play.

This would help with finding Challenge specific modes like Oddball, CTF and such.
I have to complete 2 CTF matches for a challenge, and from the 3 matches i entered through Quick Play, 2 of them were Slayer matches.

I don’t mind grab bag style objective playlists, but they important thing here is that you put like things with like things. There’s no need for slayer in quick play when it has its own list, and all matches are quick play with tens of thousands of players queueing in 8 playlists.

Would really like to see the playlists split into two major groups for slayer and objective when they sprinkle a few more playlists in. Quick play as it currently works probably does shovel you into any one of those available “casual” playlists and that’s fine when your playlists have more variety and are sorted out in the future, but in the current form it just doesn’t…really…make a lot of sense.

Not to hijack your thread but I have been looking for some attention on this topic for about 3 weeks now and have some good feedback from other members

If they’d remove Slayer from Quick Play, then you’re automatically left with objective based matches like Oddball, CTF and Strongholds.

You say you don’t want to hijack my thread, but you want to bring attention to your own thread and post a link to it… aka you’re trying to hijack my thread…lol

If it were up to me, I would only do quick play and never go into team slayer because I like the variety. However, the challenges force me into team slayer a lot so I find myself playing more slayer than I care to. So, I support this idea.

I also don’t want Team Slayer in Quick Play. I’ve seen arguments for Fiesta to go into Quick Play and for Attrition to go into the Ranked playlist; but the best argument for moving Team Slayer out of Quick Play is that it seems like all the challenges that mention it by name DO NOT TRACK progress under Quick Play, but do if you specifically select Team Slayer. Very obnoxious, they’re the same game mode according to the game browser.

I support this idea. It would be great to an objective playlist.

To be fair, you didn’t bring much to the table besides “I can’t get a specific challenge” and it’s the nice thing to say when injecting substance into a thread that has been done a few times already.

I tried.

Did you enjoy your read anyway?

It’s a simple suggestion, with a simple solution, because they’re already halfway there.
Don’t have to write a book to get the point across.

And what read are you referring to?

I disagree. Quick play is a playlist to practice game types that show up in ranked, and should match you into game modes found in ranked. This is totally just my opinion though, I can understand why some of you want it to be objective modes only.

I think it was a mistake to rebrand fiesta as an event while removing the Attrition gametype from the last event

We now have less playlists to choose from

I love this game, but what in the world is going on, my guys?

I was going to make a topic about this exact same thing.

I actually like playing objective based modes; CTF, Strongholds, etc. - There is no other way to get into one of these matches other then by going to Quick Play.

But as already stated, Slayer has it’s own dedicated playlist. Why mix it in with the objective based matches? Can 343 just make play lists for CTF and the other objective modes?

It’s very annoying to need to quit out to the main menu when i select Quick Play and get a Slayer match…

Thanks
