Remove shoulder charge &ground pound in Grifball

It’s too bloody easy to run around and shoulder change people in Grifball, and ground pound and lead to some serious -Yoink- as well.

But both teams have the abilities so its still an even playing field.

Wait shoulder charge and ground pound are in griffball? Wtf? I haven’t played it yet but now I know I don’t have to.

Groundpound to score goal looks too cool.
And Spartan charge isn’t that bad. Only when it ties, and both attackers die simultaneously. But that one less bogie for your team to worry about. Brightside.

I mean, I don’t see a problem. Spartan charge is well balanced, while ground pound… well, up to you to react fast enough to kill a still target as the thrusters charge.

343 gives the community what it wants and people still complain.

I agree OP. Shoulder charge is just another added ability to take away from the original skill it takes to play grifball. Grifball has always been about foot work and timing. Now, it’s whoever can back up enough to land a charge.

but Spartan charge is just another detail that falls into footwork

There is no rock-paper- scissors element to it. When you are playing gravity hammer vs gravity hammer you can fake them out or do something to throw them off. With shoulder charge both parties die pretty much all the time.

Then don’t charge another Spartan, dodge his charge

Spartan charge has always been a little
op. The distance you can cover sometimes is just… Wtf? Should be no way you can charge that far.

Ive tried timing my strikes to counter the charge and it doesn’t seem to amount to jack -Yoink-.

i still dont understand the Ro Sham Bo of sword vs hammer and the GP/SC versions of each

but without those it wouldnt be as fun

i trick jump and GP players

i use SC to avoid getting sliced while running

please stop trying to REMOVE things from this game

get gud

In a perfect work the dodge would counter a charge, but y’know what? There is so much magnetism on the charge that the dodge won’t be sufficient to avoid a charging attack.

Lol if a dude seriously thinks he wants to charge me while I’m readying my hammer then please go ahead. And Ground Pound is intentionally in it to make scoring possible on more than just 2 axes (running, basically).

Well, if you’re experienced at the game mode, you would know that launching is very viable. Ground pound isn’t even necessary, nor is shoulder charge. Thrust is the only new aspect that Girfball needs. Even then, a seperate Grifball dash playlist should sustain thrust, with a seperate regular Grif playlist.

Get guud? Lol. Anyways, those new abilities you like will only be useful for a short while. Soon a Grifball update is going to be released that will remove shields from the Spartan, and hopefully, depending on the decision of the Grifball community, remove non-essential abilities.

Do you know this update will come out for sure?

Yes. It will eventually come out. The guys at Grifballhub changed Grifball in Halo 4’s MM once already, and a new discussion on what to change in H5’s Grifball is already underway.

Ehh, still safer to pound to the goal than fall, so I don’t mind it. I’m indifferent about regular/ oldschool/ special Grifball, if people really need it they should say so, not “remove something something entirely”.
