Reach was supposed to Have an increased focus on map exploration, and the "return to battlefield notification destroyed that completely. Please, just go back to the original invisible barriers.
Invisible barriers are so much better…
> Invisible barriers are so much better…
I hate… HATE return to battle field…
What’s the difference between an invisible barrier and a ‘return to battlefield’ barrier? They both do the exact same thing…
If we are not wanted there, then don’t tease us with the freedom to go there, it just pisses us off. Invisible barriers ftw!!

Do I smell sarcasm?

The notification takes your attention from the game, on to it, then puts the thought in to your head, “why the hell was I able to go there anyway?” when you should be thinking about the game. Its just annoying to some it up. Invisible barriers are sometimes not even noticed, if you hit one, the fact that its there flashes through your mind, and then boom, your back in the game.

Shut up man I was becoming such a good HLG player back in the Halo 3 days and Reach mad it so much harder with it’s new crappy system… And now its in Halo 4…
It also cut the ability to explore out side of maps in forge.
The fact that they could and would get exploited is why they should be gone.
But this way you can explore more of the map. The invisible barriers would have been at the border of the “Return to Battlefield” line and would have made the map smaller and less explorable. You get what you ask for than complain about it.

It’s because you aren’t supposed to Forge there. You can, but it’s not recommended. Plus, with soft killzones, they can easily patch exploits on maps.

Lol. You don’t know why I replied with “Lol. Really?”. Look at TypicalClock’s post that I replied to, then scroll up to my first comment, make sure its my first comment, and read it.
On the bright side, the new player trait zones will allow us to create our own invisible walls in Forge.

It didn’t matter how many patches they made I always found more… Hah but sure your not meant to forge there but you should have the ability to explore. In Journey the PS3 title there are a few ways to get out of the worlds and the creators leave those spots open and encourage exploration of them. That’s how a game developer should be.

You’re supposed to explore in Forge, not in Matchmaking. Bungie and 343 never fixed the bugs and exploits that let you escape the map in Forge or Campaign. Only in MM, since it ruins other people’s experiences.

Ohhh I see that Haha well I still agree with him barriers still give more exploration in like forge and the maps are riddled with cool spots to exploit the barriers. I mean there are still some spots in Reach but it’s not as fun to get into those spots and the count down is just annoying… So it really should go.
Who likes invisible walls? I’d sooner see Halo 3’s “Guardians” return, like on Snowbound or Sandtrap.

But you can not do that in forge anymore because of the count down. Besides I almost NEVER ran into people taking advantage of such spots like me, it’s not that big of a deal if you get killed you get killed cry me a river and get better.
