I just want to see how people feel about the Micro transactions. I don’t particularly like it, i rather play a lot an earn points to buy certain level armor at certain levels. The randoms thing, just make it seem like a grind instead of working to a goal. Though, I also feel its just the same thing except all the stuff you are working towards is random instead.I hope micro-transaction go away and we get a better reward system. I don’t know still, I am on the fence. If they can do both, then great. Have Arena classic Halo earn stuff at certain levels and WarZone for all that stuff. Who says we can’t have both right? We are paying 60$ for it.
Edit: I would like to add, what do you think if armors were earned as usual but weapons were RNG, would that be a good middle ground? If a lot of you think that is a question worth asking, i’ll make a poll. or you all could. Questions need to be asked.
The only reason I say yes is to stop me from buying more req packs. Seriously, I’ve spent hours in the menue just buying/selling req stuff. I’m addicted. Hope the system stays but I wouldn’t mind it they removed micro trans.

LOL, your part of the problem man. I am being sarcastic.
If they remove MT’s but get us to pay for map packs again, then those map packs don’t get a supported playlists after a month, I’d rather let people with disposable income fund free map packs.
Also I have boat loads of good power weapons, and I haven’t spent a cent on REQ packs. Still waiting for a Tank cert though.
I like the REQ system and the idea of micro-transactions, however I think there should also be rewards, like for completing the campaign on legendary or finding all of the skulls, etc.
Normally I would agree with removing them but in this case I really can’t see why, we are getting free DLC and to be honest it takes no time at all to earn a few gold packs.
Reddit did the math. If you just buy silver packs till you unlock all the uncommon to rare unlocks, then go to gold, you will spend less then 3 millon req points.
If you just focus ob gold, you will spend more then 4.5 million req points.
But compared to reach, it’s still less to unlock everything on halo 5 then Reach
No.
If this payment method is going to allow free map DLC so that the community isn’t split down the line, it would be amazing. I want to see how it turns out!

What if the maps were made by forgers and had a voting system of what ones we liked and was added for free? I mean, I think break out maps are forge maps and two other maps are forge map too. And, please fact check me, I don’t want to spread rumors ya know.

There is a difference between forged maps and new maps. I love the forge creations that the community comes up with, but I’d much rather have a truly new map.
We need DLC, and we’ll get it along with Forge in December. All will be fine.
I played a Warzone match earlier today. Before anyone had captured the Spire, we were attacked by at least 5 different people with swords on the other team. We thought little other than that it was funny that they’d use something like that so soon. 1 Minute later, we started seeing Warthogs. They had multiple warthogs. Then, We saw multiple tanks and wraiths. They of course also had called at least 2 Mantises that game AND the promethean flying vehicle. Can’t forget banshees. Saw about 3 of those. We had one guy on our team get a tank during the match and he was quickly dispatched thanks to them having at least 3 Spartan lasers and multiple hydras. All the while, we had to run into over half the team having various powerups throughout the match.
Considering we were never being dominated by them in points, I can really only conclude that we had actually ran into a “pay 2 win” team. One could argue that they were just being uber tryhards, but given how they honest to god had nonstop tanks and literally multiples of EVERY vehicle and power weapon and these people so freely spammed these items, it seems more likely that they had every single item in spades. Given how new the game is and their ranks, you cannot convince me that these people were just that lucky in their REQ drops and actually burned through all of their stuff just to fight some randoms.
I’m not a fan of the REQ system, I honestly don’t know why people like it so much. There is a reason I don’t play the lottery. Spoiler alert The odds is “never” in your favor. I want a clear goal/progression rather than being very lucky. If the armors and load out weapons was not apart the REQ system, I would be more incline with the system but as it stands right now, It is bogus.

[insert explanation of a situation where you get good and beat them. then proceed to deny they have any advantage over non paying players.]

Me either my friend, it just took away drive to achieve something other than to ‘get lucky’ on the lottery after dumping asinine amounts of time into it.
I don’t really carel, if players want to spend money instead of REQ points on packs let them. It’s not like they are going to get a huge advantage. The rewards are mostly cosmetical. Sure there are some req cards in there that are really powerfull but not the point where its owerpowerd.
Without boost in 5 warzone games you have enough REQ points to buy a gold pack. Thats appox 1 gold pack per hour. If you use your boost smart and swap back and foth between arena and warzone you can stack up req points fairly quick.
I bet the people who voted no are on the MS payroll.

OMG CONSPIRACY!!!
Such a childish response… If you would like to have free map packs in the future keep the microtransactions. Gold REQ packs don’t help people play smart or play better.
no on is forcing you to pay any real money for it. i get the allure, it takes every ounce of resolve not to just throw money at it to try to get what i want. at the end of the day, though, we can just play a few (hundred?) games and unlock everything without spending a dime (besides what we spent on the game). is it difficult, yes. we can do it, though, it’s an exercise in delayed satisfaction.

I wish. Then I wouldn’t be working grave shift and be able to play Halo 5 All day.
I just don’t have problems with it. As I posted in a earlier post. Just buying Silver Req Packs then gold to fill out the legendarys in the form of permanent items. It cost only 3 million req points. 4.5 million if you go gold to silver with half the filler req items for Warzone. Even then I get a silver pack every 2 matches.
Looking at the total, and looking how much it costs to unlock all the armor, and extras on Halo Reach. It is Far easier and faster by just playing the game to unlock everything in Halo 5 then in Halo Reach. Even doing the gold to silver method. And people do not realize this

It just sucks because certain armors, effects, etc. Meant something before, you had to achieve them.
nowadays people can just buy them so it’s meaningless.
