Since the first halo’s we were never alowed to party up with friend’s for ranked matches, why start now. It just puts a lot of people at a disadvantage. If people want to party up with their friends than 343 should bring back the casual unranked game mode. The entire reason we have the ranking system in place is to have an equal playing field. That is why everyone starts with the same weapons. Thats why the baning of early quitters, betrayal’s etc… is in place. But, By alowing people to party up, 343 is not making this an even playing field.
Are you serious?
I’ll make sure not to go too hard on you.
Halo multiplayer FROM THE BEGINNING was built on teaming up and playing with your friends. Halo 2 on xbox live introduced the party system or “virtual couch.” This game, nay, this genre of video games is based on guys teaming together and playing against other people.
What’s you’re proposing goes against all of that. If you want ranked games where no one can party up you do have FFA.
Since when did Halo ban partying up?
Dude, get some friends and stop crying…
lol get friends loser
So simply because you don’t have people to go into ranked games or any friends that are the same skill or better then you, then no one should be allowed to go in with a team? Yeah that makes sense to me…
Any why do you say why start now like Halo 2-4 didn’t have the ability to make a team for ranked games
It has nothing to do about having friend’s or not. Read before you comment. It’'s about making an “even playing field”. The original halo’s would never alow you to party up on a ranked game.

Dude, in H3 id always run a party in ranked matches… I’d even invite the other team to my party and chat with them. You’re delusional.
What? That is some revisionist history right there, OP.

That was what came to my mind. Every Halo game has been about having a dedicated squad to wreck shop with. This thread makes no sense.
Ban party chat? I don’t think it’s possible but at least I can see the logic behind that suggestion.
- Runs solo
- Loses to full team
- Blames party chat
Welcome to Waypoint.
Even if they didn’t have party chat your teammates wouldn’t talk to you and you wouldn’t win anyways. Game chat annoys the crap out of me when I run solo and I mute my entire team the second I hear someone talk. I don’t want to hear your bad music, dogs barking or mom telling you to go to bed.

My pet hate is someone using speakers and a mike. I don’t want to hear whats happening on you screen. It gets worse if they are putting chat through the speakers, now I get echos too. Please get a headset if you want to play multiplayer.
“You’re crushing them. Send them to the forums crying!”
Sorry guys, hold on to your -Yoink!-. it’s been a while since Halo 2 and all I remember was that my friends as guests were not allowed to join in on ranked games.
But my point is that if you want to play in a party or clan, then you should play against other parties. Why would you want some random guy to join in your party to only quit or suck and cost you the game. Too often I have been added to parties where everyone is either high platinum or diamond and I’m a low gold. You know how much that sucks. It takes away the enjoyment.
Man really? Get freaking 3 friends!
You can’t party up in FFA, so please, stop.
Just stop.
Staup.
OP has a valid point. With Halo 5’s current matchmaking, solo players match up with full parties way too often. He’s right, it isn’t fair. In Halo 3, parties always matched parties 99% of the time. In Halo 5, this isn’t the case. The solo experience is being ruined by this. Even the pros are complaining about it - the freakin’ best players in the game. It needs fixing.

I swear this has happened to me so many times. That’s why I always start a party with just me.
