Remove or edit The Pit for ranked

Remove the pit from ranked, or remove the snipers or the rocket launcher. way to many power weapons on the map for a ranked playlist. I would either remove the rockets and put one sniper at rocket spawn or remove the snipers and leave rockets where they are. 2 snipers, rockets with 4 shots??? Rocket should have 2 in ranked? OS and heatwave. Needs to be adjusted

I feel like they forgot to adjust it for ranked, especially since ranked has 2 rockets normally and the pit remake still has the 4 from social matches…

I agree with your comments. Maybe they will wait untill S3, so they can replace the snipers with the new DMR’s?

Rocket launcher 2:30 respawn & 2 rocket ammo

Sniper 2:00 min respawn

Over shield 2:30

No cores for throwing

Oh and change the horrible colours

At the beginning of Pit in Halo 3 if you went for overshield the other team could combat you with picking up sword. Now that side of the map is open the player can pick up shotgun and overshield.

I don’t think that was a good move.

But overall I think they just need to have a casual ranked playlist and a HCS ranked playlist.

Idk, like yeah the spawn rate needs to be toned down. But Halo 3 MLG matches got by just fine with both snipers, the rockets, sword, two Maulers, and OS all intact on the map.

The Rockets only had two shots, and the spawn timers were much longer though, which is probably the biggest difference. That, and the general lack of anything else on the map, just grenades and BRs. No needlers, turrets, or corner shotties. They should really consider swapping ranked over to H3 MLG’s layout and spawn times, maybe swap a couple of BRs with Commandos, and replace the old Mauler spawns with sidekicks and call it a day.

For ranked, the changes mentioned are fine. That is, assuming they stay in ranked. If they come to casual play, then we’ll have a problem.

No for HCS ranked it is fine…. Ranked has always had a full sandbox!

I think the issue is that The Pit in Halo Infinite has a much larger sandbox than it did in H3. The Pit has always had a pretty heathy amount of crap in it, but now it’s practically bursting at the seams with access to lethal toys.

Which was okay back in ranked slayer/objective in H3 but the MLG variant got streamlined for competitive play…

Ranked in Halo 2/3 is totally different to what we have now. It’s the reason why we have no population as 343 has catered for the few thousand HCS fans instead of the 100,000 halo fans that came back and left when Infinite was released.

Halo ranked is not HCS/MLG competitive play.

Slayer Pit needs to be removed. It is beyond terrible. Rockets need to go down to 2. No fusion coils.

Even then, this map does not play well in infinite. but those “fixes” would make it tolerable.

That was more like a dueling thing in Halo 3. Get overshield, get countered by sword.

This version is more like, if you ignore the left side, enemy team gets full advantage with a shield and shotgun. Other scenarios, you can still overshield and shotgun duel .

They called H2’s Midship Heretic in H3 but it will always be known as Midship.
