Remove or Change Enemy and Teammate Outlines

Good morning 343 and Halo Community,

I believe only teammates should have highlight outlines, and for enemies to have them, they need to be marked. Not only does this add another strategic element to the gameplay, but it also reduces visual clutter, does not look like we are fighting lava lamps, allows for greater stealth and no seeing enemies all the way across the map to snipe easy, makes the combat feel more real, and allows players to see customization on other players. I really do not think teammates need outlines either, since they have service tags and gamertags over their heads.

Best regards,

Bittzen

With the coating system, teammates need something as just having the tag may be confusing if one player is Infront of the other, but I agree with removing it from enemy players and it’s been suggested a lot. Biggest problem I have currently is if I have the default settings, I tend to not realise blue coated enemies are not enemies and red coated friendlies are friendly. This is in a split second mind you but that could mean life and death in this game. It’s usually when up close rather than further away.

Totally on-board. If my allies have a distinct marker (more pronounced service tag, think Halo 3/Reach), enemies can look like anything. They don’t need outlined.

Agree with every point here.

Can’t agree with this one unless RvB returns.

honestly, i don’t really mind the enemy outlines. showing the colors more that the players chose…
BUT, i can see why not many would like it. so maybe have a toggle for it to either be outlines, or standared RVB like the old times
